Old room décor. Room had an odor — like old pizza. Bathroom was tiny — although the room was pretty big. The lobby is amazingly beautiful — but don’t let that excite you to your perspective accommodations. Only the lobby is nice. Parking is odd — a 2 level garage outback with 1 entrance/exit. It’s convenient to lotsa stuff.

We checked in and first impressions unfortunately where not the best due to our first room that had a damp carpet and furniture along with low melodramatic reviews at the hotel booking site and something still left in the fridge. But the staff is very courteous, we were moved to another room and I have to say it’s much better. The staff is attentive and friendly each time we needed something they listened without complaint and took care of our problem or question. At one point a few days ago my mom noticed a do not disturb sign left on the door by us. Well she told the front desk and they went out of there way to get someone in late afternoon to clean our room and went through the trouble at there own accord as it was no big deal. When adding an additional night we even got a lower rate than listed online due to already being guests due to our tourney being delayed. The lobby is clean and inviting modern looking with a spacious couch and two chairs. The microwave in the room however is not very powerful and will not heat water to the temperature needed for instant noodles or pop microwaveable popcorn. The housekeeping staff is very kind and prompt they check the rooms multiple times a day so if you miss one time they will surely come back through at some point. The beds are a bit small for two people though so I would suggest not brining the whole family and only have one to a bed. Note: do not expect any kind of privacy, the two beds rooms have only one light on the nightstand. The walls are also thin and you’ll be able to hear doors closing and opening as well as running in the halls ect, as well as other guests conversations from down the hall when there in the hallway. All and all I would recommend this hotel, as long as your not bringing more than two people and don’t mind the issue of noise and such. Also some channels where missing, but that’s not a big deal.

A positive thing is that it is warm and there are no bed bugs. Otherwise the carpet is filthy. There was pubic hair in the sink. The smoke alarm is hanging of the wall. There is mold in the shower. The cord for the coffee maker doesn’t reach the outlet, but even if it did there isn’t a free outlet for it without unplugging the fridge. The alarm clock is unplugged so we had to move the night stand, plug it in, and set the time.

when we are traveling we look for Choice hotels because we are reward members. Always concerned though about the condition of hotels w/o reading reviews or booking in advance. This one was very nice, one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. We arrived late just to relax and get a good nights sleep and we did. I thought it was a little pricey even with the senior discount but chalked it up to the fact that it was in Cattanooga not outside the city. Would stay here again given the opportunity.

Broken furniture. Nice older hotel. A little over priced but at least it is close to the mall.
