Maxwell’s Burgers & Hotdogs

This place is just ok in my opinion. It is SUPER cheap but we all know what cheap gets you. A hit or miss. My boss purchased our lunch today in the office and everyone (with the exception of me) decided on this place, since I have never had it. I decided to play it safe and go with the 21 Shrimp with salad and fries. The «salad» is really a ton of lettuce and 2 slices of tomato. I am not kidding. And the fries, *sign* I knew I wasn’t going to want them anyway so I wont comment. The shrimp almost broke my tooth, that batter is way to heavy and hard for those tiny pieces of shrimp. I don’t know why I thought ordering shrimp from a place like this was going to be exquisite anyway, so that’s my fault. Bottom line — its cheap. And if you are STARVING with $ 3 in your pocket, this place might just do it for you.

I work down the street and use to order from here all the time. Coworker’s and I decided to give it a shot today and tell me why the customer service was beyond rude? That we need to call an hour in advance. That there’s no turkey burgers available only CHEESEBURGERS and that they’re extremely busy that a delivery may not be possible. It’s almost an hour and our food isn’t here. Should we assume we have to pick it up? Lol never again.

They don’t deserve any stars. The place is really dirty, the employees have unsanitary cooking habits. It needs to be remodeled in there ASAP. I got a breakfast burrito and the hash browns they used were like burnt hard pieces. My food was inedible. Also, they use some nasty cheese (if that’s what u want to call it). First things first get new employees! And how hard is it to keep a place clean? Soap and water. This is how people get sick.

Awesome place reasonable prices actually get a great breakfast for abound $ 5 unlike IHOP that charge $ 15. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is they only accept cash. Other than that great place clean the breakfast are generous portions! The breakfast special is worth every penny.

They have a very affordable menu with good food. Season fries are amazing. The only downfall is the owner seems to have a personality that doesn’t always work when you have to deal with the public. But for food at a great price. I do recommend!

There is NO Charbroiler here… i saw the cook handle the raw meat patty, then pick up the bun and put it on the flatop… happy i did not get food poisening

Came here on a Monday for lunch. They only accept cash!!! No credit cards! Customer service wasn’t friendly what’s so ever. Not sure if the couple that was working were the owners. The menu was easy to understand and order from. They have breakfast dishes, burgers, hotdogs and even salads.
Food experience: The burger meat was very thin, the texture to the meat had no flavor, the bread was your regular .99 cent bun. The thousand island was a bit to watery. The fries were really chunky and Crispy. (My favorite thing about this place) The refills are 50cent not many choices to pick from.
The restaurant wasn’t as clean. The kitchen was a bit too messy too! I don’t think I would return for their food.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!
After a bad incident with an employee (see 8÷8÷14 review), fences were mended. I order from them weekly, been a customer for about 12 years now. Today I ordered an omelet with Bacon cheese onion and tomato. I received a bacon/​bell pepper one. No big deal, I’ll eat it anwyay. As soon as I cut into it, I see the Green peppers are burned black, and the bacon is so overcooked I can’t even chew it. Like pebbles. I had to call for a new one and as I was talking to the owner, he hung up on me. Showed up at the office not long after, opened the burned omelet, tore it apart with his fingers and yelled at me (in the lobby of my office) to never call him again as he is going out the door, not giving me a chance to say one word. I’m shocked. Get back to my office and open the box only to see a ton of peppers and a plastic knife with a big fat hair on it. Businesses like this don’t deserve to exist.
SAVE YOUR MONEY, SPEND IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!

For years I’ve been coming to this place. I call ahead of time and the food is always ready within 5 to 10 minutes. The breakfast burritos are awsome!

I’m pretty much a regular at this place. They have decilious burgers & fries for an affordable price. Owner is pretty friendly, I give it 4 stars cause the inside could definitely use some remodeling.

I work right near Maxwell’s. Food is for the most part great! Breakfast and lunch. Good flavors, better prices and quick service!

Pastrami was a little overcooked. But the burger had good flavor. I would come back but only for the burger no pastrami. Fries are great!

I love coming here in the morning when I have time. The breakfast burrito is the best!!! The potatoes are home made and not from frozen and it’s only $ 3.99 and it’s a good size! Def try it out if u ever in Chatsworth.

Read some of the reviews here today, and dude who thinks these are some of the best burgers you’ve had, please, be real, this is nothing short of bland cafeteria food, made by people who hate our food. Ive had it once, and will NEVER go back. You want a real burger, drive over to Holiday Burger, in Granada Hills, man up!

Seriously one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Their fries are also fantastic — great seasoning, piping hot & fresh. You can’t beat their burger lunch deal — burger, fries & a drink for under $ 6. The only downside is it’s cash only. The service is also super fast. One of my go to lunch places.

My friend brought be here, leading me to believe it was a cool spot when you don’t have anywhere else to go, but after eating here it’ll be my new go to spot!
I ordered a hamburger with a fried egg on it, already a plus since i love eggs and can’t always find that topping at other burger joints. I ordered the egg «soft style» where the yolk is still runny (hold back your ewws’ you don’t know what you’re missing)! ok so the hamburger was great, juicy, the egg cooked to perfection, the fries which i’m not huge on in general were yummy, crispy on the outside soft and fluffy on the inside. and another plus this place is super cheap! so if atmosphere doesn’t matter to you this is the place to be!

I’ve been dining at Maxwell’s for almost 2 years now (I work nearby), and I can honestly say they’re a decent place to grab a bite to eat. The restaurant itself is in dire need of a makeover, and the location is nothing to look at. But in terms of food and service, these guys do fine.
If you’re craving a burger (especially turkey burgers) this is your spot. Great for burgers. And the breakfast is decent too (although the potatoes taste like plastic). The only legitimate complaint I have is that their salads are downright disgusting. Do NOT get a salad here. Stick with the burgers — you can’t go wrong.

I’m literally having Maxwell’s for the first time and typing this review. I am not so happy right meow. First of all, I was all excited to order from this so called BOMB yoint that my coworkers from the behind the glass wall rave about every time I work weekends with them.
I come in extra early and right away I demand that we order foody. They pull out the menu (with no damn photos) and off I go.
‘I’ll get the sausage and eggs plate, with ham and bacon’ They place their weird ass order and so they hand me the phone and I place an order for delivery.
I order and the ‘Asian’ man said ‘twenny to fody minots’. So I then spread the word and in 15 minutes our order comes in.
I run to the dispatch room and get my box. I open it and let me tell you, the so called hash brown looked hash-​black and soggy. They were so flavorless. I made it rain with some salt and peppa, and that sh** was still boring. –_​_​_​_​_​_​_​– Had I known, I would’ve ordered some pinche fries.
I didn’t touch the eggs because I thought they would be a hit or miss. I did eat all the bacon, ham, and sausages though. They were aight. Would I get a meal from here again? Probably not in a while. I think my coworkers just hyped it up. It was not great.

The breakfast menu is worth coming back for over and over again. New owner, in the last 6 months or so, has made a positive impact on the locale. You cannot go wrong with there fresh, hearty and filling Denver omelette or the homestyle french toast. No gourmet or fancy schmancy food here, just comforting breakfast items for under $ 5 a person (approximately).
I cannot wait to try their gyros and burgers.
