Looks like they are packing a u-haul with all of the equipment at 11PM july 4th. Either they are out of business or they are being robbed. No real loss to the neighborhood, the food wasn’t as good as my 8 year olds. 5 stars for making the building available for a new restaurant!

My favorite Peruvian restaurant in California. Friendly staff, great food and good prices. I’m from Peru and this restaurant is the closest thing from traditional Peruvian cuisine. I highly recomend it !!

The food is great when the cook isn’t hung over or even for that matter when he is there to cook. I work one block away and have my lunch at 12:00pm, and without exaggeration, the cook has only been available once in more than 10 attempts to eat there at lunch time. Open at 3pm if that’s when the drunk ass cook/owner shows up. Horrible service… F-.

I’ve always seen this place when I drop my shoes off to be fixed at the shoe lab. This time I decided to get some food to go, I’m sorry that I did. I got the ¼ chicken plate with fries and a salad. The chicken was moist, but almost tasteless, I had one bite that had some spices on it and went,“oh this is how it was supposed to taste”. The fries were half cooked and mushy, I tried one on the way home it’s not just because they steamed themselves. The salad, lol shredded iceberg with tomatoes and cucumbers with no dressing. Oh and I forgot to mention it took a grueling 30 minutes. :( I won’t be back.

This place is a local gem. Jose is a fantastic chef and has so much charisma. The food is amazing. The Soup(#21; not sure the name) is by far my go to favorite. For something heavier they have a steak dish with fries and rice that will definitely impress. I would recommend to anyone around.

Food is OK — the staff is friendly. No complaints, but not great. If you’re in Chatsworth and want to try something new, check it out.

The ceviche de pescado was legit, accompanied by real rokoto sauce(hot enough that you feel like you just licked the sun– but in a good way). I was disappointed that they had run out of heart anticuchos, but they had standard beef anticuchos that were okay. I am certain the jeart ones would uave been great. Service is on the slow side, but the cooking is legit.

The food is good. I love the salsa and bread to start the meal. #51 is very good. There is a photo of every dish on the menu which helps me to decide what to expect.

Food is not too bad, but they have horrible service, will never go back. Takes forever to get your meal if they have it. Lunch specials is only one choice of the day, but they mislead you to believe they have different choices, seems if you order something else besides the special meal of the day they have a problem having the food available. I ordered causa de pollo as appetizer an they didn’t have, thought it was a popular plate in Peruvian cuisine? Last time same thing happened, except It was a different dish and I decided to cancel my order and suddenly miraculously they had it somewhere in the kitchen ?? Right! Thought it was a random thing, but they did this again today, maybe they need competent employees in the kitchen, not like the ones outside are any better neither. Prices are high considering the establishment. Someone told me not to go there, now I know why. Hope this helps! They don’t really deserve one star my personal opinion, just being nice.

I’m only giving this four stars instead of five so you pay attention to the fact that this is a self-designated Slow Food restaurant. So yes, expect to wait a while for your food, to have it brought out fresh instead of sitting under a lamp waiting for the other orders, expect to actually have a conversation with your fellow table-mates. Beyond that, the prices are extremely reasonable for what you get, which is fantastic. Every person I’ve brought there has raved that all the items are delicious. I, especially, recommend the fried yuca. I love yuca, have had it in both L.A. and the Caribbean, and their fried yuca is the lightest and tastiest I’ve had. The tacu-tacu was a very pleasant surprise, my friend’s chicken was moist and tender even though it was white meat and another friend enjoyed the Pescado Frito even though he usually is disappointed when he orders fish out. I completely recommend this place, only you need to expect the food to take a little while. It is completely worth the wait.

Great service, even though my girlfriend and I were just ordering take out. They gave us water while we waited, too. The table place settings were a nice touch. The food was delicious. My girlfriend ordered the Tallarin Saltado de Pollo(noodles with chicken and grilled onions). She and I loved it. I got Lomo Saltado(french fries, onions, steak strips, tomatoes, and rice covered in their signature sauce), and that was equally delicious. The food tasted and was presented nicely, even for a take out box. Food wasn’t greasy either. Definitely a place to go back to. Don’t be fooled by the sign outside. It’s NOT a Chinese-Peruvian mix. Small menu options, but big on taste. The only downside is the atmosphere. There are some TVs, but they were tuned in at some food channel. Maybe they could change it to something else. There was a fridge near some tables, and that completely threw me off for a bit. It did kind of feel like someone’s home, which was a nice touch, but I kind of wish they closed off the kitchen just a bit more. It looked cluttered.
