Great food, great value. Quality over quantity and you get good size taco portions too!

Stopped by for a quick lunch to go. I selected a burrito al pastor — mild(I am after all a gringo). I was offered two cups for salsa. As they prepared my burrito I sauntered over to the salsa bar. where there was a decent but not blow you away selection. I selected a roasted tomatillo salsa and a spicy tomato salsa, it is similar to a big chain option but has bits of jalapeño. the salsa were average. My order was up quickly and I was out the door. Upon arrival home, I opened the boxed burrito(not simply wrapped in paper) and found some cebollitas(grilled green onion) and a piece of lemon. Nice touch! Now the burrito… was decent, not a knock my socks off and pour me a beer way but a decent an I’m intrigued way. The pastor flavor was huge but the tomato salsa in the burrito was simply a little too much. I will add this location as an option in my overflowing taco joint in the SFV blackbook. Oh, the parking is also typical of a SFV strip mall with spaces large enough for a bicycle but not a «normal» car.

Best tacos n burritos. Fast is an understatement. You get the food so fast at this place. The chicken and meat is high quality. Everything is made to order. The breakfast burritos are amazing too. Super clean outfit as well.

Parking is usually bad in this corner strip mall. I decided to take a chance on a Tuesday a little before 2pm and I missed the rush… about five parking spots open! My co-worker didn’t want to go to lunch today… So she’ll be mad that I went without her… She wants to try this place too. Anyway, the salsa bar is cold and has s nice cover over it. The poco de Gallo and other one that I tried were very good. I had the carne asada two taco combination plate. Very good. The meat was cooked better than most places around here. There were a couple pieces that had grissle in it. The rice and beans were good, the little pieces of lettuce and sour cream were so so, and the fried green onions were too chewy to eat. Free chips with your combo plate too. Not a lot of seats… Maybe two tables in the middle and two counters facing the walls. Good food over all.

My husband and I were in the mood for breakfast burritos. Read the reviews and thought to try it out. Great service, fast, friendly, small place nothing fancy but was clean and the food was good. I had the Breakfast burrito with chorizo, my husband had it with steak. I only gave it 4 stars because LA has the best breakfast burritos but this is not bad for Chatsworth and only $ 6.

I was really excited to try this place out and I hate to give them 3 stars, but it fell short. The food was good but I’m bummed they messed my order up. I ordered an al pastor burrito and they gave me asada. It was alright but I wasn’t in the mood for beef. Order was ready quickly so I’ll be back and hopefully I can try the al pastor. Also, remember to bring cash!

There is absolutely no parking here when it’s busy during lunch hours. This place is located on the corner of Lassen and De Soto which can get extremely busy. The lot is extremely small and hard to get into. The food here makes up for the horrible parking situation and you should definitely give it a try. I’ve ordered the carne asada burrito, the carne asada breakfast burrito, and the nachos here before and it’s always been delicious. The meat is very tasty and the burrito is big enough to fill you up. The nachos are good as well and they give you a good amount to fill you up as well. I don’t really mess around with the salsa bar as I like spicing my burrito with Sriracha when I get home but I heard it was good. Customer service is great, the guy, assuming the owner, is really chill. They cook the food in front of you which is pretty cool and you can have breakfast, lunch, or dinner inside if you wish.

This is definitely one of the best Mexican spots in Chatsworth. My go-to’s are: 1. Standard Burrito with Asada(Meat, Cheese, Beans, Rice, Guacamole, Salsa) 2. Pancho Burrito with Chicken(Meat, Cheese, Beans, Rice, Sour Cream) I have them grill my burrito on both sides when it’s done, that way it has a delicious crispy crunch with every bite! Also, their home made Salsas are absolutely amazing. There’s a delicious Brown Chipotle salsa and a Salsa Verde that I alternate with every bite of my burrito. They also make their own chips fresh and they’re extremely delicious. The owners are so friendly; It’s a treat every time I decide to come here!

Absolutely delicious! I’m a burrito guy so I was a bit hesitant due to the name, but I just had their chicken burrito and it was great. Definitely going here again.

A friend took me to Fast Taco for an early lunch the other day. She’s been going there for years and I understand why. I had tacos al carbon with refried beans on the side. The tacos were tasty and juicy with just the right amount of cheese. If you want delicious tacos with«back in the day» décor, go the Fast Taco. I’m taking my staff there next week!

Positively the best carne asada burrito you get anywhere, in fact some of the so called Mexican food restaurants in the area should come check it out.

Everything was great! Had the chicken burrito, was cooked great. Also had horchata which was amazing as well. The only downfall is they don’t accept cards. Which is pretty inconvenient because I never carry around cards. Luckily this day I had some cash on me to cover it. Would recommend this place, just make sure you bring cash! Plus they’re cheap!!! :)

Well, this is somewhat like my other review… because I have to explain a little history first. Back in the 90s, I used to live in Hollywood… and there was a great little place on Highland Avenue called, «Fast Taco»! They had the most wonderful«Al Pastor»(marinated pork) tacos and burritos… and I’d go there several times a month for them. They were really AWESOME… and so delicious too! But one day, I stopped there to get a burrito… and they were GONE! I didn’t even know WHY… but I was SO disappointed! However, after I moved to Canoga Park in 2012… I’d noticed a sign on the corner of DeSoto and Lassen that said, «Fast Taco — tacos al carbon»…and it looked like the same sign as the place I used to go to in Hollywood! So I stopped in one afternoon, and asked the gentleman behind the counter if they were affiliated with the Fast Taco that used to be on Highland Ave. just South of Hollywood Blvd. He said, «We ARE the same place that used to be in Hollywood… we just MOVED!» Their Al Pastor burritos are unbelievable… and that flavorful marinated pork almost melts in your mouth! Their Carne Asada and chicken are great too… and everything is cooked fresh to order… and served hot! Everyone I’ve told about this place has loved it too… even my wonderful guy’s 90-year-old mother(she had the Carne Asada tacos)! The only thing that would make this place even better… is if they’d accept credit cards as payment… since they currently only take cash! Other than that, I have no complaints! Fast Taco is one of my favorite places for excellent quality Mexican food that’s really GREAT… and served fast! They’re open ’till 9:00PM… and also deliver locally. I’m SO glad I found them again!!!

This is what we call a hidden gem, an undiscovered oasis. Fast Taco happens to be a go-to staple with Mr. Food Sensei as he frequents this place on a weekly basis and proclaims them to have the best steak burrito. Well you know what — he’s right! After several trips here with him it’s always been an excellent quality experience, top notch, and I emphatically agree that it’s really the best damn steak burrito I’ve ever had. Unilocalers said to try the Al Pastor(I did) and it was pretty solid. Very juicy and flavorful, different from the pastor I’m used to in Austin, more spicy and very flavorful, but Mr. Sensei says it’s all about the beef. We make it a regular thing now when I’m in town, our standard order is 2 steak burritos — — hold the beans and rice. Forget those fillers, we want the meat to shine through and it never fails. I LOVE the grilled green onions and always ask for extra. The owner and staff here are always very nice and accommodating, the service is fast and efficient. I love the salsa bar with the carrots and jalapenos, plus cilantro and onions are in abundance. The chips here are firm and good quality — never stale, and our steak burritos are always hot and fresh. I’ve also tried the chicken — it’s excellent! I usually wash it down w/a Mexican Coke, Mr. Food Sensei prefers aspartame(Diet). You know it’s quality ingredients when you can actually function afterwards. There’s no food-coma-like feeling, or the desire to take a nap, or the effects of sodium /MSG overload. Every time we’re finished we feel great and drive back home with tons of energy. Sometimes we feel so good we hit the trail and run a few miles, or hike the mountains, or chase the cats(Tobias & Emilio) around the house for eating toilet paper, or just sit out by the pool and chill. BTW did you know that cats can open doors? WTF? They’re learning and advancing past us humans… pretty soon they’ll take over the world. Rachael and Mom just don’t know what they’re missing out on — — cuz Fast Taco has really clean, fresh, and quality ingredients at a great price. I love this place and that’s why we come here every time I’m in town, and that’s why Mr. Food Sensei is Mr. Food Sensei. He knows it all — and Fast Taco ROCKS!

We’ve lived in Chatsworth for more than two decades and had never tried this place until today. On our way to the California Chicken Café, we changed our mind and turned in to give something different a try. Fast Taco isn’t a lunch destination. I can’t imagine anyone getting excited to come here. I’m guessing the residents who live in the apartments and condos, and those going to Chatsworth High School walk here for a quick bite. We weren’t impressed. Sure, the guy working the counter is friendly and there’s a decent salsa bar, but even the salsa bar at Sharkey’s, Rubio’s and Poquito Mas is much better than this. The green salsa was tasteless. The chipotle(I think that’s what is was) was bland. And the pico, average. While it’s affordable, the above mentioned spots, even though they are chains, are much better. I ordered a chicken, pastor(pork) and carne(steak) taco and they were nothing to brag about, nor where the store bought tortillas. My dad’s burrito was filled with the flavored pork, but didn’t excite either. The guacamole was fine. We left happy we tried this place, but not craving a return. The scene(there’s almost no where to sit here) is much better at the above mentioned chains and the food is even tastier at the Burrito Factory. It’s an average, hole in the wall taco joint, with little character.
