Big V

Best burgers around bar none! I go there at least once a week. Half pound bacon cheese burger is my fav. But the loaded hot dogs are great too… And at 99 cents each with chili, slaw, and onions WOW! Go there asap!

Love the bacon cheeseburgers! I’m a regular as I get a craving at least once a week and have to stop by. Very friendly staff.

The hamburgers are excellent and the BLT is my favorite BLT around.
I bring friends from out of town for the burgers and they never disappoint.
The hamburger steak with onions is another favorite.
Be careful though — Cash only!

Great hamburgers, shakes. food was delious. bathrooms are around back and small. But worth stopping.

I just happened to be passing through Chatsworth and decided to stop at Big V based on other Unilocal reviews and the fact that I had an insane craving for a cheeseburger. I love going to a non-​chain burger joint and Big V did not let me down. I ordered the Big V cheeseburger, fries, and drink. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and came with just the right amount of onion, pickles, etc. They even toasted the bun. The fries were of the frozen variety but cooked perfectly and served hot. The lady at the counter was friendly and delivered the food to my table quickly. My only complaint, and it’s only a slight one, is that I thought the order of fries was a little on the small side.
Good food + friendly service + clean digs = 5 stars!

Burgers are the best in our area. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Hotdogs are good and cheap. Hamburger steak plate is also good. I just wish they served onion rings and tater tots.

Good local spot with greasy (but delicious) burgers, fries, and shakes. Better burgers than your regular fast food joint. They offer regular fries, seasoned fries, and onion rings to complement your sandwich choice. I went for the seasoned fries, where the seasoning is «baked in,» or at least that’s what they told me. They were all right, but still needed to salt for more taste.
They also have about 6 milkshake flavors, but I went for one of the regulars: strawberry. Unfortunately, I wasn’t too happy with it. It didn’t quite taste like strawberry, and for a while I thought they may have gotten my order wrong and gave me cherry instead. Later, I came to the conclusion that it’s because they use frozen yogurt/​soft serve to make their shakes. I’m definitely not a fan of frozen yogurt/​soft serve, which probably explains why I didn’t like the milkshake. I could taste the difference and how it was less creamy, almost watery-​tasting, than others I’ve had.
I really liked the burger, so I would suggest just going to Big V for that and supporting the local restaurants.
