Very good margherita pizza. Nice salad bar. Come for the pizza. Mom had ravioli and she said it was very yummy also. They adored my baby and she loved her little pieces of pizza and ravioli and bits from the salad bar we gave her

Probably the most disturbing part of this restaurant is that they don’t have any noodles besides spaghetti and ziti. Of all the delicious restaurants in Charlottesville this was a horrible choice. I honestly can’t remember a worse Italian place. The food was not authentic at all. Really greasy. I love greasy, but yuck. I will admit the cheesesteak tasted good while I was eating it but it was so greasy the bottom fell out after 2 bites. The pizza my friend are also tasted decent while she ate it but then had the grease stomach. Service wasn’t good and it wasn’t really that busy. Dude seemed like he couldn’t handle the pressure with grace and was stressed out to the point of coming off kinda rude. He could have behaved far differently and would have received an awesome tip even though the food was less than mediocre. Once again, I feel like I took my leftovers just to be polite(which doesn’t make sense anyway, I know).

We are just finishing a Capri pizza with a Pesto sauce. The dough was freshly made, the artichokes were not heavily brined. We also got a Calzone to take for dinner.

We shared a «Brick Oven» pizza here,(that is the name for the pizza with pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, peppers, and onions). We had the wheat crust. It was pretty tasty, but a little overdone, for my taste. The salad bar looked good, although we did not partake. The servers were friendly and sweet.

This is my 2nd time eating here and the pizza is top quality. This is not Dominos or Pizza Hut so be ready for real food. This is quality pizza on par with what one would find in the northeast. Wheat option is nice too. They have a great salad or soup option and a small but comfortable seating area geared for a nice family dinner. Definitely headed back soon.

Worst«wanna be» Italian food ever. I lived in Italy for 1.5 years so I may be little qualified to judge. I took my mom out shopping and wanted to take her to close by/decent Italian restaurant. OMG — side salad was all frozen; didn’t eat it. Spring Chicken calzone tasted like a frozen pizza and stale. Cape Code Spicy pasta had no flavor; all I tasted was butter and red pepper flakes with pea size scallops(it was surely frozen) and three snow peas on top. I must add, young lady server was very pleasant and provided super service; however, I will never go back there again. Waste of my hard earned $ 30

The salad bar is great, with a variety of options to choose from. That’s where the positive ends. We ordered a pizza which came out of the oven severely burned(charcoal black) both on the top and the bottom crust. There were barely any toppings and half of the top crust had a large bubble in it with absolutely no toppings at all! We complained to the manager who said she would happily have another pie made for us but we would have to pay for both the burned and the new pizza. We declined, deciding we could eat somewhere else and not take the chance of paying for second burned pizza.

Forgot to review this place from a few weeks back! We had to grocery shop(Kroger’s next door) but I was famished and know from many previous experiences that I cannot shop on an empty stomach. We stopped in and all I really wanted was a salad. Fortunately for me, I was able to get that — in a great way! The salad bar is really fantastic — lots of fresh options — the closest I can get to a Sweet Tomatoes in Cville ;) Hubs had pizza and he liked it too, but I really think the salad bar stole the show!

I hate having to write a negative review but it’s only fair to others, I guess. This used to be one of my favorite pizza restaurants – nice salad bar and excellent crust and pizza and a great draft beer list and all at a fair price. A couple of us went there tonight and learned it was taken over by a new owner 7 months ago. No more draft beer – and a poor selection. Salad bar was ok but no blue cheese dressing – what I thought was blue cheese was ranch(and not good ranch). The pizza menu looked pretty much the same… same names/toppings/etc. But then it arrived. it was the worst pizza I’ve ever eaten – no…I mean NO flavor. The crust was«dead” – no flavor. I had their special pizza with bacon, ham and sausage. How can such a pizza be flavorless – totally flavorless. I added salt(something I never do) three times… still no flavor. I had my dinner partner try it and she agreed.(by the way, her pizza also was bad) I ate only one piece of it. So… no blue cheese dressing; poor beer list; BAD… REALLYBAD pizza. The service staff were very nice… really sweet. But I cannot recommend it at all. In fact, I’d have to recommend that people not try it. Plus, for the two of us, it was $ 50. It must have been my worse restaurant experience ever.

I second the review on here re: the new ownership. The last time I was here, the ketchup exploded on my clothes. Turns out the ketchup was rancid. The waitress brought me another bottle. I opened it, sniffed it, and almost threw up. The new bottle was spoiled as well. It’s called a refridgerator, new owner. I’d say stay away until they go bankrupt from stupidity.

We’ve been here twice now, for a family-friendly, casual Italian meal and haven’t been disappointed. They have a really good salad bar, are good for kids, and the service is good. I wish they had more pasta dishes on their menu. The ones they have are the typical standards and pretty good. I haven’t had the pizza, but the two different families we’ve been with have both had pizza and liked it. In another town I would rank this place 3 stars, but as C’ville lacks on the Italian restaurant front(unless you only want cheap pizza or expensive Italian), it’s pretty good.

Typical Italian menu, pastas and pizzas. I think what really stands out here is their salad bar. Always a fresh selection of veggies, pasta salads, and soups. The baked ziti is pretty good but chicken parmesan could use some work.
