Half price growler Thursdays! Their beer selection is amazing. I really like the food there, although my boyfriend doesn’t. I suggest the steak and appetizers. It’s usually best to grab a seat at the bar, since Sedona fills up. Walking distance from Darden and the Law School, which is a huge plus.

Beer. . Great food — had the wild caught mahi mahi which was delicious. This is my first trip to Charlottesville, and this restaurant, the vibe, the atmosphere, the food, drinks… all top notch. Highly recommended.

Edited same day of original review. It figures — I give a place the best possible rating and my next experience is less than stellar. Here’s my edit first. I arrived at 3:02 based on a text that I sent as I sat down. When I got the bill, my first beer was not discounted for happy hour which starts at 3. I question why not and am told I didn’t get it before 3. First of all, I know what time I get off of work and how long it takes me to arrive — that puts me right around 3, give or take 6 minutes or so. Second, I sent a text as I was sitting down before a menu was given to me and several minutes before a beer was ordered. There is no possibility I began consuming the beer before 3, let alone ordered it before 3, because I didn’t walk in the door until after 3. Even if, per chance, I had ordered it before 3, a minute or two, really? You’re going to hassle a guy who comes in on a regular basis on a few minutes? But there were no few minutes to hassle me on — because I was there on time. Oy. It pains me to do this but I won’t be back. This shouldn’t have happened, especially over a few bucks from a regular customer who basically had to dig through phone records to find the exact time of entry. I’ve heard from others of being price jacked before and I always shrugged them off and told them to go for another try — this is the first time I paid attention to my itemized receipt, perhaps I should look to see if I can find others. Original rating from earlier today based on other experiences below. ______ Outstanding beer selection, which is the reason I go. Fantastic happy hour specials too: half-priced drafts and now half-priced bottles. Taps rotate out as soon as one’s gone so there’s always something new to try. The Hawaiian flat bread makes a great happy hour snack, and service has always been friendly. Biggest negative is that this place does not have fries. Their menu has a lot of items on it that many people would«like fries with that,» myself included. That’s really my only complaint… so I just stick to the flat breads so I’m not disappointed to not have fries with my(delicious) prime rib sandwich. What’s better than soaking some fries in the au jus?

Conveniently located to the hotel I was staying at, Sedona is an awesome new addition to the Charlottesville area. Great beer selection, and even better food. The only downside is it gets very packed and can be hard to get a seat at the bar much less a table. I ordered the crab flatbread and one of their penne pasta dishes. I was very happy with my choices. Filling, well prepared and brought out quickly. Bar service wasn’t unfriendly, but I def got sense they were a little impatient. Regardless, if I lived in Charlottesville I could definitely see myself being a regular here.

Good place, Good food, Good staff, Lovely outside seating area and large beer selection. Really all you could need from a nice place that is not on the Mall in Cville.

If you are a craft beer fan, look no further. 500+ to choose from. Really nice atmosphere, setting, staff, and experience for lunch. I had the prime rib sandwich, absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

Great upscale pub! Extensive beer selection! Tons of local options as well! The food menu is varied as well. Plenty of options — even the pickiest of eaters will find something. Our group of four tried the fish special, the Kobe beef sliders, and the salmon sliders, and it seemed like everyone enjoyed what they chose! The restaurant is cool, as well — with plenty of TVs if you’re looking for a place to eat or drink while watching some sports!

After several years of stopping in to brunch, lunch, drinks, and dinner… I can honestly say this is one of my favorite spots in Charlottesville. They have a wide variety of ‘american grill’ style menu with a great beer selection. Saturday’s they have house wine $ 3 a glass from 12 – 4(i believe the time is correct)… how can you go wrong? The also offer food specials, usually the flatbreads are at a discounted rate. Monday’s they do a steak special where they donate profits to a charity, $ 5 I believe is a great deal. We prefer dining in the bar area at one of the booths or the outdoor area) if weather permits). In our experiences, the services is just better here. The shrimp and crab sandwich or the chicken flatbread are two of my favorites. I look forward to a stop each visit.

This place has great food and a great beer list. I will be back. Make sure to call ahead for reservation if you have a big group. Worth the wait! If you check in through Unilocal you get a free appetizer! We had the muscles really good!

I hate to gush but… Great service. Delightful lunch menu. And a fantastic selection of local craft brews on tap. And over 500 craft brews available in cans and bottles. This is a new dining destination for us.

Lots of cool beer events. I hear they have beer lessons Sunday afternoon with lots of beer tastings included. 3 stars for the atmosphere and food. Not my thing– but nothing was ever bad really.

I used to really like everything about this place but… last weekend we came in for a quick beer and I kid you not, I sat at the bar at the far corner(a bit out of site I realize) and waited for 15 minutes before I flagged down a waitress to wake up the bar staff. I have never witnessed a bar staff that was less engaged with the patrons at the bar. Although they were combing the bar area they never once would catch eye contact with us. Seriously this went on for 15 minutes. I was going to call the bar from my seat and give them my GPS coordinates so they could find me and serve us. Service has been very good in the past but just no excuse, ever, for a bar tender not to acknowledge a patron for more than 2 or 3 minutes. 15 minutes was infuriating. I was very thirsty so I stayed for one but really had to bite my lip.

Sorry we didn’t try any of the drinks! We did order steak! Really well cooked! Couldn’t have done it better ourselves. Will be back to try some of the beer, but for now the food was great!

I’ve been here a few times now and the general consensus is good bar, great selection of beers, and friendly bar staff. The menu itself is so/so with some items being better than others for the price. The salads were pretty good, as are the desserts, specifically their special peanut butter mousse. The pasta was good but I can’t really remember feeling strongly about it either way. I wouldn’t order it again but I wouldn’t discourage others from trying it. The restaurant’s décor was a mix of wood, stone, and Sedona-esque atmosphere with the warm tones and cool vibes. Based on the feel, this is a good place for small table gatherings such as friends, family, and/or dates. Here’s a few details worth knowing — the bar while nicely stocked does not offer«bar space» aside from the seats alongside the bar. There is not much room to stand and/or mingle without a table. During the warmer weather the patio offers a bit more lounge/sitting area but this is predominantly a restaurant space, not so much a bar hang out. What I would recommend is getting a table, ordering drinks, and a few small plates, and treating it as a restaurant that happens to have a bar.

Great food, service, and atmosphere! Absolutely a fan. Came here with family on a Friday night because I didn’t want to deal with downtown parking – they have plenty of parking here, which is super convenient. Tucked right behind Barracks Road Shopping Center. I had the Bourbon Pork Chop, which was tender, juicy, and served on top of fluffy garlic mashed potatoes. Two in my party had one of the specials – a kind of Jambalaya-type pasta with Andouille sausage and shrimp that was very good. My mom enjoyed her Gorgonzola chopped salad and my dad enjoyed the kick in his Devil’s Pass Pasta. Everything was between $ 10 and $ 15 for perfect portion sizes. It seems like there’s a great selection of beer, as well! I believe they also have $ 6 steak nights on Mondays, as long as you buy a beverage. Will definitely be back for that sometime soon!

I’ve been to Sedona a bunch of times now, and it’s a good American go-to. The flatbread pizzas are always good. My husband gets the beef sliders and loves them. Lots of beer and cider options. Make sure to go early on Mondays when it’s $ 6 steak night($ 6 Steak Out for Charity) as it gets really busy, but most other weeknights there won’t be a wait.

This place is a really good location for a nice dinner or outing for good beers. Came on Monday for the steak special which was $ 6 at the time I went. The steak and potatoes were great, and we also got these pork tacos as an appetizer. The tacos were rather okay, nothing too special, and I think they were about $ 5 or $ 6. Needless to say, the beer selection is superb and has one for every taste and also showcases a lot of local beers. The beer menu might as well be a book in itself. Our server suggested a really good porter which I liked, but for dark beer fans, I strongly suggest the Duclaw Sweet Baby Jesus which is a Choco peanut butter stout. I discovered at Sedona first after a friend’s suggestion, and I’ve been drinking it ever since. If you come here on Mondays though, either call in advance or come –early-, because steak night is exceedingly popular in Cville. A table for 2 would have taken at least 40 minutes if we had not gone early at around 4pm. Overall, pretty good food, excellent beer, at a medium to medium-high price.

Can’t beat the Monday $ 6 steak. Just don’t substitute the brussels sprouts(+$ 2 or $ 3, cant remember) for the mashed potatoes. The brussels are some of the worst I’ve ever had — tasted like boiled cabbage — not what I want from brussels. Beer selection is good, service is slow and just ok. sliders are decent, maybe a little expensive nothing special

Sedona Taphouse is nearby the business and law schools at UVA, which makes the crowd pretty mature compared to the Corner. I have been there a number of times since moving to Charlottesville, and I’ve never been disappointed after just drinking there, but eating there too is another story. They have a really great beer selection, and they even have half price growler night, but I have yet to take advantage of it. The bar area is nice to sit, watch a game, or meet friends and enjoy some great brews. The menu is bit overpriced in my opinion for what it is. On my various visits, I have only eaten there three times, and I haven’t been terribly impressed. I’ve tried the Canyon Crab Flatbread and the South Rim Shrimp flatbread. I have no idea why the crab flatbread is categorized under appetizers, when it is the exact same size and concept as the flatbreads in the flatbread category. The shrimp flatbread is way better than the crab flatbread, but itsn’t enough to fill me up if I’m eating a meal there. We’ve also gone and ordered the Sunday night seafood special. On this night, there two offerings were salmon and mahi mahi, which is one of my favorite fish. This was probably the best meal that I’ve had there because it was priced appropriately. The last time I was there, I had the fish tacos, which if they had a third taco included, would have been a great meal. They were flavorful, but once again, not that filling. I also wish they had fries. I will probably be back to STH, but hopefully only to drink their great beers.
