Love Panera, but this location is always dirty. If the part of the restaurant you can see is dirty, you can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. The tables are often not wiped down there are crumbs and debris all over the floor. At the time of this last visit the soda machine was down and they had a big bucket of ice for people to serve themselves with a scoop. Needless to say I didn’t have ice that day. Who knows how many hands have been in that bucket and the scoop was left inside to contaminate the rest of the ice. Also the avocado on my sandwich was brown. No thanks!

Good food. Cobblestone and soups are delicious however I miss the cranberry orange muffin. Most of the staff is friendly, Kim at the front counter is always helpful and kind! Wish there was a location on pantops.

Food is great tasting and staff is friendly, my issue is however I pay more at a place like this expecting healthier food. I get the ingredients may be better but if research and see the nutritional facts on most foods and drinks your really not doing way better then the main burger and fast food joints. The Fat and sodium content is through the roof. Panera can only be added to my diet if I’m on a cheat day. I feel this food chain manipulates people and that’s not fair or right.

I want to give them 4 stars because of the awesome, friendly staff but what I ordered today was just bad. I got a Thai chicken flatbread and it was drowning in sauce and had barely any chicken in it. It’s also over-priced for what they give you. On other occasions I just stuck with what I knew and was satisfied. But today’s flatbread just did not hit the spot. Hopefully I can update my review when I return and order something different! I did study here today and it was a nice place to do so! The wifi decent, it just takes a couple tries to actually connect. Just be patient!

Let me start off by saying that I love Panera, but I am not a fan of this location. I’ve been to this location several times for breakfast and lunch, and the customer engagement experience is lacking. One time the associate working the register placed my order incorrectly, and when I went to make the appropriate changes, the sales associate had an attitude and insisted she did not process the wrong order on her end and instead said that I misspoke. I found her uncompromising attitude to be distasteful and unprofessional. On a separate occasion, I went to this Panera location 10 minutes before they stopped serving breakfast sandwiches. When it was my turn to place an order and I said I wanted a breakfast sandwich, the associate literally laughed in my face. She then went to consult with the two staff members who were working the food line to ask if they would be willing to accommodate me. One of the workers said«It’s 10:25, we stop serving breakfast soon,» and she was loud enough for me to hear. In fact, I believe she intended for me to hear her nasty comment. I was disgusted. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this Panera location. I refuse to be mistreated in an establishment where I am spending my hard earned money.

I have to say I’ve become increasingly disappointed in Panera at this location. I Needed coffee and bagels for a meeting. The lady I spoke with informed she would not have any bagels at the time I needed them. 2 hours later??? No bagels? Bread company? I was only getting a dozen… not five dozen! I explained if she could not have them ready I would go somewhere else. Then suddenly she was able to do it. I use this location a lot for meetings over lunch. Last time my order was forgotten /overlooked. Not sure I will use this location anymore. The one at Forest Lakes seems a little more organized. They need more staff or better management…

French onion soup in a bred bowl — as always, and as always, yummy and quick to be served. When I say quick, I mean, my food was ready before I even got my drink, they were calling me already. Extra points for that. This time I decided to order something other than the BLT with it, so I tried the roasted turkey & caramelized kale panini. Man, it was yummy! My only issue, if I can even call it that, is that the panini was tiny. Four, five bites and it was gone. Other than that, yay Panera!

Eaten here many, many times. The food is decent and the employees are super nice. Usually busy with students, but always a place to sit. Great place to grab a coffee and read the newspaper.

Good quick meal. Not extremely fancy but much better than a fast food burger. Very clean and polite staff. Bathrooms clean. Well lit and new furniture in dining room. Panini and soup combo is excellent.

Food and service are great, but advertising free wifi and limiting people to half an hour of it during lunch time is not cool when my plan is to do online college work during my lunch break

VERY busy on the day we stopped in — they handled it fairly well and it didn’t take too long for our food to come up — but they were out of things — there was hardly any seating — tables were dirty — trash cans were overflowing. I understand that places get busy during lunch rushes and it was around lunch rush time when we stopped in but still — My salad was good — not going to lie. I went with my usual — the hummus chicken salad which is delicious and simply and low in calories. Not terrible — but just a standard visit to Panera.

This location has had horrible customer service lately. Not sure if the manager changed or something but the last 3 times I’ve been here the employees, especially the food pick up area area, have been rude or yelling at each other. Wish a McAllisters would come to town. Otherwise I’d only recommend getting your panera fix at the one up by Target.

Some of the worst Wifi in town, which is why I come here. Free coffee refills, and good food, although expensive.

Don’t order the flatbread(FLATWISH!) because you wish there was actually something in this sandwich. I had the turkey cranberry and it was HORRIBLE! And to top it off their ½ soup and sandwich was 12BUCKS! I don’t mind paying for good value but I did not get it here.

It’s Panera — the food is better than most chains, especially the bread. This will be more of a review of the location. Located in the why-is-this-so-busy shopping center, this is one of the better Panera Bread I’ve been to. Free Wi-Fi and plenty of seating, and it always seems to be crowded with students. Cashiers are good and the food is out quick — I’ve never had a problem with waiting too long or quality. There’s also outdoor seating which is right next to the outdoor seating of Five Guys, which I have no doubt leads to many Sharks vs. Jets eating situations. The only negative isn’t Panera’s fault — the parking lot is always mysteriously full of cars(where are all of these people coming from? Certainly not Charlottesville… and don’t get me started on the traffic) so parking may be a challenge. Overall, not a bad location.

What a cool bakery/café/restaurant– never seen anything like it before! Came here for lunch and was well impressed by their breads– baked so well. Got a cool combo with a soup, bread as well as a sandwich, too much bread– but all delicious! Great system of ordering then picking up after getting your name called out. Extensive range of breads, sandwiches, soup, salads, drinks– everything under the sun. Nice tables and booths around and easy to find in the Barracks Centre. Particularly like this place for it’s calorie labelling– which is super helpful to narrow down choices, especially if you don’t want anything too calorie-heavy! Definitely would love to go back to try their other offerings. [Reliving my semester abroad at the University of Virginia]

This location is oddly shaped, but it works. The cashiers are nice. There’s outdoor seating. This location is nothing special. I ordered a frozen lemonade, a pick two special — the French onion soup and Mediterranean flatbread. The flatbread wasn’t that great. The hummus tasted funny and the flavors did not mesh. The soup was good as always. This was my first time trying the lemonade. It was pretty good.

Food is fine for chain-restaurant fare. It would be ok for typical on-the-go lunch or breakfast. The problem is it is a zoo around typical meal times. Between the Moms pushing double-strollers in too-tight aisles and people trolling for an empty table, I simply lose my desire to eat here. For the most part the staff tries really hard to make it pleasant, but they’re working against the tide.

This Panera is kinda tucked in amongst a lot of other places I’d rather visit in Barracks(I mean, I am a Panera fan, but I can get it anywhere) but this weekend, we had a fundraising meeting for TNT so it was a nice enough venue. I ordered a cappuccino and enjoyed sipping it from the big bowl-like mug. Service was friendly and the dining areas were well kept.
