Nice Nails & Spa

Would give 0 stars if possible. The guy did my nails and this is the result right after I left. He did my nails 3x and kept messing them up, adding the white part bf it was dry. Finally I could not wait any more and told him to do gel. Still it’s a mess.
We came here with a wedding party bc it was closes place around. Not worth it.

This was my first time here. I was in town for the day & needed a many pedi. Nice family run shop. I got plenty of attention. My toes and nails look great! I would recommend!

So done with this shop. Went back as a walk in and they claimed they had no time to do my nails based on a client that was «on the way over». Are you kidding me? So the person is not there and you cant do a fill in? I was disappointed in Tina but then not so much with that terrible man who runs the shop. (look above for my previous experience. I found a much better shop on pantops called Beauty Nails. Really great customer service and very skilled. Closer to my house too. If you go to Nice Nails, dont’t complain about the work that you pay them for. You can be as nice as possible but… they seem to want you to have what they want to give you… not what you apy for. They should be ashamed of themselves.

This is a very clean and friendly place. Their pedicures were extremely reasonable and she did an awesome job. They have a good selection of colors and multiple brands of polish. including OPI.

I am new to Charlottesville and needed a new nail salon.
My pedicure was great and turned out wonderful, but I wish it had lasted longer. I am used to them lasting about an hour.
My gel/​shellac turned out well, too, but my nails came out too long. However, I think maybe this was a bit my fault for not speaking up and having them trimmed more.
I am definitely going to give Nice Nails another try.

I love this place! So, I will give you an in depth review! This place is very clean and hygienic. At first I was skeptical because when I went in it was empty, this was after 5pm. Immediately I was greeted and offered a drink, very kind and friendly people. Now, unlike most people who may not ask, I asked to get my nails done by the person who gets the most clients LOL! I wanted the best of the store. and I got it! A man by the name of Andrew did my talons (pointy nails), and I was in love. He said he never really did this style of nails, I told him talons are becoming the new trend and he can try them on me. First try and it looked like he’s been doing them forever! I got my eyebrows done from his girlfriend, I think her name starts with a T. sorry I forgot, but she sits in the second chair from the door. Her work was amazing! She even gives a small face massage after for free! Affordable prices, probably less than what you would find in the mall. They have new massage chairs for pedicures that recline to give you an amazing relaxing experience. I took my coworker to this place and she loved her eyebrows and nails as well. She got a cheetah print design and short square nails. They have gel nails, shellac, acrylic and colored powder options for nails.
Pros:
–Pedicures last about an hour! Very good at removing cuticle and dead skin.
–Andrew! My nail tech is impeccable!
–They do designs and display them.
— Great eyebrow waxing!
–They carry O.P.I. polish.
–Great store hours, open 7 days a week unlike the competition.
–Doesn’t raise prices on the weekends.
— No long wait times, but they dont rush your nails.
Cons:
–Only con I have is I wish they had more polish, their selection is good, but I want more shimmery colors. Then again, I wish every nail salon had more polish haha.

This place is great! I’ve been to Nice Nails twice now and both times I’ve had an excellent experience.
Pros:
— The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. They offered me a beverage upon sitting to get my nails done — talk about service at a nail salon!
— The manicures and pedicures are excellent. The nail technicians don’t rush through clients even though there may be people waiting.
— The prices are very reasonable ($ 30 for both mani and pedi; $ 25 for shellac mani)
Cons:
— The salon is a little bit difficult to find when you’re going there for the first time (hint: it’s behind a Taco Bell).
— I wish their nail polish selection was a little bit better organized — but that could just be my OCD talking!
— As another reviewer commented, the décor is definitely lacking. However, they have multiple TVs and are willing to change it to whatever station you prefer.
All in all, I highly recommend this nail salon over any other salon in Charlottesville.

I tried this place based on high reviews and was very pleased with the pedicure I received, which was very reasonably priced at $ 22. Its a little difficult to find but its adjacent to Pier 1 Imports. The staff was very friendly and offered me a beverage, something that even top end spa’s don’t always do. The nail tech used a base coat and top coat… I’ve received pedicures with no base coat and my nails become stained. Overall it was a good experience and well worth the price. I will definitely be back

Decided to give this place a try after seeing other Unilocal reviews.
This place is neat, clean and staffed by friendly professionals. As a walk-​in, I was seen promptly and received terrific service. For $ 22, I received a top-​notch pedicure.
The only thing that (slightly) marred my visit was another customer, who yakked on and on about her weekly pedicure and spray tan appointments, and other things that made her life so hectic.

I tried this new Nail Salon today and was very pleased with their service. The place is clean, neat and has all new equipment. The massage chairs are wonderful ! They only opened last week and are having a 30% off all services special for the month of April. The staff are very pleasant an friendly. Water and coffee are provided. Head over and give them a try. Prices are very reasonable.
