Not surprised to see that these guys closed up shop and defaulted on their obligations. Ripping off the friggin library?! That’s just bad karma.

Hey gang. I just wanted to post here. I called the police today in Richmond at their other store to see if anything could be done. He said he thought they were featured on channel 12. He was right. I looked around and found this: I was surprised that not more people had called and filed something with the police. He also told me to call the magistrate too. But if this is our property then no way no how are they supposed to sell it to pay off collectors.

I think the Charlottesville branch is closed, though their voicemail is still up.

I drive 2 hours and 15 minutes to take my iMac to this vendor yesterday. Scrawled on a sheet of yellow legal pad was a note saying«M-F, 12−5». At 12:40 no one had shown up to open the business. It’s dumpy looking. I would not have felt comfortable leaving my computer there even if it had been open. An older gentleman was waiting for the shop to open and told me the process of getting these folks to add more memory to his computer had become a nightmare. The problem: no one to accept parts delivery. Apple should de-authorize shop ASAP.

Disclaimer: I mean this review as constructive and encouraging. I opted to take my busted up computer here rather than Best Buy because it’s a local business… i’d give them another chance for that same reason but with hesitation and a great sense of adventure. Short story is I called and left a message about their services and got no return call. Took my computer in anyway. Got no receipt for handing over my machine. Called three times to check on status, got a human once and the machine twice. Two calls were never returned(later learned my blocked phone number raised dreaded telemarketer flag). When speaking with the human who answered, I was told to feel free to check in anytime to learn about the status of my machine. After hanging up, I examined the hollow feeling i had inside and it occurred to me that the right thing to say would be «i’ll let you know how things are going so because I’m providing a service to you.» All that said, I can tell there’s a kind, talented, eager heart beating inside the chest of Mac Pro Solutions. So, please, if you guys read this, don’t take this personally, just answer the phone and be less laissez-faire with the updates. :) And potential customers, give them a try! I’m sure they do good work.
