Passing through Charlottesville on a short road trip with my family. We were looking for a diner type place to have a good country breakfast. Found this place online and decided to give it a try. We got just what we wished for. Everything was great and very affordable. Everything is homemade and delicious! The staff was very nice too. Looking forward to stopping in again!

I came here for a late breakfast on 12÷31÷15 with my girlfriend while we were in town from California visiting her family. We loved everything about this place. The ladies who work here are sweet and friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the food is incredible. We felt like we were right at home. Being from California, we don’t have cute little country diners like Fox’s Café, but if we did, I’m sure we would be regulars. We will be sure to return to Fox’s Café the next time we are in Charlottesville!

Fox’s is the most authentic ‘down home diner’ in town. Whether you’re looking for a hangover-​ending plate of sausage gravy or a delicious double bacon cheeseburger and fries, this place is hard to beat. The price, the experience, and the food are just right when I’m looking for a diner-​style meal.

Had the biscuits and gravy. Amazing! Simple classic southern breakfast. Obvious local favorite which is always a good sign. Great prices for the amount of food we got. And the service was wonderful!

One of the great Small-​America diners. A hole in the wall type place where you can eat and enjoy the experience. The place had a subtle Christian atmosphere with Christian music in the background.
I had the two eggs scrambled with cheese, corned beef hash, toast, and sliced potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection, the staff was extremely friendly, and they made you feel right at home.
I will definitely recommend this place.

Fox’s is a small restaurant on Avon. It’s a classic type of atmosphere with down home cooking. Breakfast is always stellar, and I love the sausage gravy and biscuits. The biscuits are golden and fluffy, and the sausage gravy is perfect in its simplicity. The prices are more than fair and a good cheap option.
The staff are always friendly and attentive.

Tried this place after reading the positive Unilocal reviews and because I was curious about it everytime I drove by. The place is very unassuming and is set up in a building a bit bigger than a trailer. The inside is simple and nothing to write home about. The food, for what it is, is great. They have cheap, solid breakfast and lunch dishes.
While there is nothing unique about this place it gets 4 stars because the quality of the food is good, the service was pretty quick, and the staff was friendly. Good omelettes, eggs, grilled cheese, and fries. If I’m in the area again around breakfast or lunch I’ll be back.

Popped in for lunch this past Saturday and this is a solid little local diner. Friendly, efficient waitstaff and a great cheeseburger. If I lived in C’ville, this is the kind of place I would love to frequent. Looking forward to popping in again!
