FEAST! is wonderful! I had a ham, goat cheese and plum panini and my girlfriend had the local chicken salad. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The market was small but well stocked with artisan items, local meat and produce as well as condiments, sauces, pasta and snacks. Very cool place.

Delicious spot for lunch! I also sampled some of the cheeses and they were super yummy. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location and parking make it an easy spot to go to.

Simply put — delicious. I ordered a panini and the quinoa salad to go. Both were excellent. Whoever put together the menu knows that they are doing. The combination of flavors was impressive. In fact, I’m already planning my return. The sooner the better. You can taste the quality of ingredients in their food. The service here is really friendly and creates an incredibly inviting atmosphere. What a great place to stop by for a quick lunch! They also appeared to have a great selection of gourmet items(meats, cheeses, etc), wines, and beers. There is also an open area to eat-in if you don’t want to take your order to go. It’s a little higher on the price spectrum, but it is well worth it. I think this place also deserves kudos for the amount of dedicated parking available for a place located in the heart of downtown C’ville.

Food was delish, but portions were too small. Service is curt. You order and pick up from counter and bus your own table. I ordered the one and only red wine option & received about a 3 oz pour in a tiny tumbler glass

My friends and I were looking for a quick lunch stop after a Monticello tour and Feast came up as one of the top Unilocal hits, so we decided to check it out. It’s located in a marketplace with several other stores/restaurants and was a bit tricky to find, but once we made it in we knew we had made the right call. The deli counter is just that, a counter with a good variety of sandwiches, soups, salads, and sides. You put your order in, pay at the counter, and grab a table on the patio or inside. I had a trio(cup of soup, half sandwich, and a side) — the tomato/kale/coconut soup, the ham, goat cheese, and plum sandwich, and the white bean salad. Everything was perfect. Not only was the presentation on the point, but the food was flavorful and hearty and I would not have changed a thing! The grocery was great as well! They have a bunch of pre-wrapped sandwiches and salads, an olive oil station, tons of meats, cheeses, and dips. Only thing to keep in mind is that they close pretty early, 3 pm.

This market has really great quality ingredients and they welcome sampling. So that’s all good with me. We were looking for food to take on a picnic later that day so I ordered a delicious panini loaded with melty brie, turkey and cranberry chutney. Yummo! My husband went with an Italian sandwich. Also delicious, but it couldn’t compete with the amazingness of this panini. I think the quality of brie really elevated it. The market sells lots of fancy goodies; cheeses, meats, spices, candies, drinks etc… I’d come back again.

Never make a trip to Charlottesville and not visit Feast! Quite a gem! I love all of their local offerings and their staff is so well versed and always helpful. Soups bad salads are fabulous! Great place to buy terrific wines and cheese that is divine! Wish there was one closer to Charlotte!

We had the grilled cheese special and white bean salad for lunch and it was delicious. The café is in a store that sells many tasty local products. If I was hosting a wine & cheese party, I’d stock up here.

The go to lunch spot on Main Street. This deli is located within a market with other restaurants that is within a boutique grocery store. I highly recommend getting a soup and sandwich combination but salads are also offered. Ingredients were paired surprisingly well that were curious at first. Turkey with jam and black beans with coconut were creations I could not have the creativity to conjure. If more is what you desire then the convenience of grabbing something else is the deli is a unique accoutrement. The quality of the bread also stood out and there is the option of having your sandwich warm. Great and exciting combinations await at feast and was a pleasant surprise to the palate for such an occasion. Thanks!

Best charcuterie in Cville. As a former New Yorker who misses his Italian deli counters, this is the best place for thin sliced mortadella, salami, and cheeses. Also a great cheese counter with helpful staff for making selections. And a good place to grab lunch salads/sandwiches, as there are plenty of seats indoors and outdoors.

This is one of the most amazing stores I’ve ever been to in my life! They are so generous with their samples… incredible meats and even more incredible cheeses. I have to be careful not to fill myself up before ordering my extra even more incredible meal afterwards. Whenever friends come in from out of town this is the spot I suggest. So freaking tasty.

Really great sandwich shop tucked inside a marketplace. The food here is a little on the pricey side, but everything tasted very fresh and filling. The sides are really small — I got the fruit and it was maybe about 6 little pieces. The market shop is great though, there are lots of samples to try while you’re waiting for your sandwich to be made. There’s a good amount of indoor seating as well!

A nice place to go for a quick lunch. I really appreciated all the free samples around the grocery store as we were waiting too! I wish I could have bought some of their cheeses(which were amazing), but unfortunately that wouldn’t have been the best idea before a ten hour drive home… For lunch I ordered the chicken, cheddar, and fig panini — it was tasty and I especially enjoyed the fig spread. I do wish the chicken had been normal grilled chicken(instead of deli meat style) and the portion size seemed small for $ 9. My husband ordered the falafel and really enjoyed it as well. We tried both the pickles(zesty) and white bean salad(ok, but bland) as sides. I really like their emphasis on seasonal, local, and high quality ingredients here.

Lots of good stuff to try, decent cheese/meat selection. The calabrese soppressata is delicious but a tad expensive. But everything here is marked up a lot. Could be more cheeses and the two that I tried weren’t worth what they cost. Might come back to try a sandwich

I got the sandwich/soup combo. The bread was great, but the cheese was only half melted and the panini was tiny. Not worth $ 9, but still delicious.

I had heard great things about Feast, but I didn’t have the opportunity to stop in there until a couple of weeks ago. They have a ton of prepared foods, cheeses, wine and beer, which does make the optimal place to stop in and a grab a gourmet picnic lunch. They have a large menu of sandwiches and salads to choose from that you order at a counter. I shopped around for a little bit and then ordered a chicken salad melt. While waiting for my sandwich, I enjoyed a wine/beer tasting paired with cheese. This just made my experience there even better. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and I opted to sit inside. My sandwich took quite a bit of time to prepare – several people who ordered after me got their food before me. I think it must have been a case of a misplaced ticket. However, the guy working behind the counter did let me know that my order would be right up, so I didn’t feel forgotten. As soon as I took my first bite, I could have cared less about how long it took my sandwich to make. It was phenomenal! The melt is made with smoked Gouda, which is one of my favorite cheeses. All of the ingredients were very high quality — the sandwich was basically THEBEST! I’m only sorry I didn’t make it into Feast sooner.

After a morning spent in the car coming from DC down for a wedding, we were starved. It was around 2pm and naturally we consulted Unilocal so we could go straight to food. Feast had great reviews, it was decided that is where we would go for our late lunch. BESTGTD(game time decision) LUNCHEVER! This place is just delightful! Even at 2pm the place was still very crowded. Make sure you take note of that! However, there was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for eating. Not to mention there is a full market next door(butcher, florist, seafood, etc.). They also offer a selection of free samples throughout the store. While we waited in line we took turns trying various cheese and jams(it was just what we needed to take the hanger edge off). On to the food, I had a Chicken, Cheddar & Fig Panini. It was amazing. I love figs and this was such a treat! It was a bit on the small side from what I remember(ok, perhaps I was just starved), but the flavors were a perfect combination of sweet and savory. I had a side of the white bean salad, which was also great. I loved the capers in the white bean salad, that was a nice touch. Overall, it was extremely refreshing on a hot afternoon! I was also able to try the Prosciutto & Mozzarella sandwich. It felt even smaller than my sandwich(again, maybe my hunger levels was skewing my brain proportions…). With that I was able to sample the gazpacho. YES. SOGOOD. Get the bowl, it won’t let you down. The portion was perfect if you plan on giving out tastes to friends. Although I am almost never in Charlottesville, this spot is a winner in my mind and I hope to swing by if I make it back down there!

Great sandwich shop inside of Main St. Market. The service here is friendly, the sandwiches are full of fresh ingredients, and the sides are very tasty. I came here the other day for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the spicy beef sandwich was. It was prepared with nice cuts of meat, just enough sauce to taste but not overwhelm the sandwich, and fresh lettuce. I also grabbed a side of gazpacho and really liked the spicy kick Feast had on this classic soup. In the past I’ve had their hummus and spreads at work functions and really love their basil tomato dip. I’d also recommend their white bean salad if you like lemon and a kick of celery and fennel. Main St. Market is also a cute place to mosey through on a busy day while you wait. I’d recommend trying the free samples both by Feast and the market. Definitely go for the cheese covered in honey!

**Stop 3 of 7 on the Taste of Virginia Charlottesville Food Tour** Walking in, everyone thinks the same thing — this is a foodie’s dream café/store. Another stop on the food tour, another hit out of the ballpark. I should mention that I am not one of those people that only eats locally grown/organic nonsense. I just like good food, period. And Feast delivered — cheeses, wines, dips, antipasto, organic/vegan chips, etc. as far as the eye can see. Lots of free samples too. During our visit, we were able to try three cheeses, some local salami, olive oil, pasta sauces, and mustard. The cheeses here are some of the best in the area, especially the goat cheese, which was heavenly. Whether I am preparing dinner at home or packing a picnic for a local vineyard visit, now I know to skip the lame cheeses at the supermarket and come here instead. I’m also curious to try the deli next time, which I can only assume uses the same high-quality ingredients. Overall, even if you’re not someone who even thinks about organic/locally grown/hippy-dippy when it comes to your food, you will still love Feast and appreciate the high degree of quality that it offers.
