Chipotle Mexican Grill

I just finished dining at this chipotle and I have never dealt with the service I received today. I want to address this concern because it really upset me and I will not come back to this restaurant.
Not only did the employee (Ashley, who was the cashier at the time) manage to undercook the chicken quesadilla I had ordered, a second time, but she also proceeded to tell me“you can cut it yourself. there are plastic knives over there,” as she gestured towards the drink station with her eyes after I had asked politely if she could cut it.
If you didn’t know, It is very hard to cut an undercooked quesadilla with a plastic knife. And thus, the quesadilla became not a quesadilla, but a very sloppy and unsatisfying tortilla pancake that had unmelted cheese and a soggy crust.
I was very upset after eating my quesadilla and I didn’t even bother to speak to Ashley again because I figured she would just tell me to «order another one» — but I did, however, manage to get her name and try to contact the general manager, mr. Tavon Gregory. To my surprise, when I called Ashley picked up the phone –and when I addressed my concern, she said he wasn’t in and said goodbye. At the time, I was unaware that it was the same employee, but my friend told me she rolled her eyes after getting off the phone.
Please help me and future customers dine happily at your restaurant. With minimal customer service in this type of style, I didn’t think this could ever be a problem. We just want our quesadillas made correctly.

I eat at the chipotle located on Emmet street all of the time. When I heard there now was a chipotle located on Abby road I was excited. It was going to be much easier to get to during the week. When I first visited, the service and food was no match to the one on Emmet street I recently visited this restaurant again and the service and food got worse. The employees were not taking the job serious. They were all very rude and short. It felt like i was wasting their time. Also I had to wait an extra ten minutes for half of my food to be ready. Chipotle is suppose to be a classy, quick serving restaurant, this one is the complete opposite. After the food was ready I began to go down the line and build my bowl. The lady serving me gave me an extra small portion of each thing I ask for in my bowl. As we continued down the line she asked me if I was done, when clearly I was not. This has been the worst service I have ever had at chipotle. I would not recommend this particular restaurant to anyone. It will ruin your love for chipotle.

New restaurant. Food was delicious and service was Very fast. The staff could have been a it more friendly but otherwise great.

I have eaten there twice in last month and while food is same quality as the other Chipotle in Charlottesville off of 29 south, this one on Abbey Rd. has tables that are dirty as well as dirty drink serving area. I have been there at non rush hours and there is no excuse for tables not having been wiped off. I don’t plan on returning to that one. Kathie

Well the eating area has been very dirty the last couple of times we have eaten there. The food tastes the same as all the other chipotle’s but my concern is the cleanliness of the back kitchen since they don’t clean the front of the house very well.

I eat at the Barracks Road Chipotle every week and love it. Food is always fresh and delicious and it’s one of my favorite places to eat. So of course I stopped at this new one when I was in the neighborhood… very different story.
It’s literally like a different franchise, the food is stale, soggy and lacks flavor. Completely unrecognizable. If this was my only experience of Chipotle, this would be a one-​star review and I would never come back.
But the bottom line is: forget this one in particular.

Came in on a Saturday night around 8pm thought it would be in and out no problem… complete opposite.
5 people away from beginning my order… took 15 minutes to get to lady taking the initial part of my order.
…15minutes later the cashier was processing my order (2 burrito bowls and 2 water cups, so not crazy complicated). Sat down to eat and my food was cold. Tasted fine but was definitely not fresh and warm.
There were only 4 employees working behind the ordering area (2 on the line, 1 cashier, 1 in the kitchen area)
Then there were 4 employees out on the patio I’m assuming we’re on some sort of break but interesting because they were there when we walked in and had just walked back in when we were leaving… so about a 45 minute break for each of them. It’s either horrible management and lazy employees (they could see the line was backing up) or just plan horrible management for letting that many take break at the same time on a Saturday night.
Also every table in the place was dirty and the condiments/​napkin bar was out of almost everything clearly showing it had been a long time since any employee had serviced them.
First month they were open… okay they were still getting the job down pat
Second month they were open… okay they were still refining their teamwork
Third month… no excuse, no signs of improvement at all. Management needs to do a check up
Very loyal customer of chipotle’s in DC, Nova, RVA, and the Emmet St. location but there’s no way I can recommend this location. Management needs to change or something because they aren’t getting the job done. Didn’t do one star because the food still tasted fine.
Parking for this location also is horrible. Need to make employees park across street or something. Parking in giant lot and walking over is your best bet.
Really think this could be a great location for them but just need to do a checkup on how it’s currently running.

Very tasty Chipotle. They must add extra Chipotle seasoning :-) Line seems to move quickly. Lots of tables with varying heights.
Very poor location on Pantops because there’s never anywhere to park in this tiny strip.
They don’t have their liquor license yet, though so… no beer!
