I adore this store. Feminine, trendy and so unique with a nice staff. I buy most of my clothes here and get compliments on everything I purchase when I wear it. :)

I will keep loving Charlottesville(despite it’s seemingly uppity crowd) because it has an Anthropologie. Ditto for their stores in Chevy Chase(MD), Georgetown(DC) and Alexandria(VA). I just can’t imagine my life not wearing Anthropologie clothing.

Probably the most well-decorated store in the world. Whoever is doing it, top notch. The selection varies from various household wares to clothing, but come with your pocketbook or a million credit cards. They have some nice items, but most of it is incredibly high in price. The joke is that some of it is often reclaimed antiques, meaning they’ll take an old item and steal the design since it no longer falls under copyright protection, and then they’ll remake it, paint it slightly differently, and sell it for about 10 times the amount of the actual antique. They also sell antiques around the store which are way overboard. One 1960s modern design chair cost $ 520, but it was a piece of garbage and needed tons of repairs. Probably got it at an estate sale for $ 25, including a car. However, make sure you check out their little things, lots of cool knobs and such, plus if you wait you’ll often see things you want in the sale section they hide in the back where you can find lots of high-quality items for realistic prices.

Great store, nice staff and I like the location… but as far as the items… just a touch overpriced!

eh sorry, guys, spoke too soon. i let my joy for having an anthro in cville blind me to its faults. this store is actually a little smaller than the ones i’m used to. i’m going to put the reason for the small, sad space as shoes. although anthro normally carries shoes, this store has none.
