I was very pleased with Dr Hamp. He was very clear and understandable and offered professional opinions about my eye care. I strongly recommend him.
His new staff member gave me incorrect information but Dr Hamp corrected the misinformation and said he would speak to his new staff member later.
The online appointment request system is awful. I left two requests seeking an appointment. Finally after several weeks my wife received a call on her cell number (although my number was listed on the request form) and an appointment date was set.
After the appointment, I requested that the technical staff email an image of my eye. They agreed so that I could share with my internal medicine doctor the next day. I received the images at 345pm (they close at 5) but could not open because the files were either too large or faulty. I sent an email back requesting a new jpg file but never received a response from his staff.
Dr Hamp earned an A
His staff did not.
I returned several weeks later for 2 additional tests. Lisa performed the tests and explained exactly what was expected from the tests.
I requested that an email be sent to me with an image of my eyes from a previous visit but asked that it be at a lower resolution. The staff responded as promised and i received the email in a timely manner.

They were able to squeeze us in for an urgent appointment and the check in woman as well as the ophthalmologist were very friendly. The doc did keep us returning for follow ups (we went to 3 of the 4 suggested appointments) but that’s expected when dealing with vision problems.

I have gone to University Eye Associates for a few years now and I will keep going back — a very friendly staff and and even friendly set of doctors has always been there for everything I need. I had an allergic reaction in my right eye this past week and they fit me in to their schedule and got me setup with drops and new lenses within 24 hours… that’s the kind of service I expect out of my eye doctor! I believe they are moving to 485 and Rocky River Rd. at the end of the year, so if you are looking for this practice in the future, the address may have changed.
