Customer service was horrible. I barely got my questions answered with out being sent to someone else in a rude manner. And it wasn’t like I was asking anything out the ordinary either. All my husband and I were trying to do was start on a new project for our kitchen and NOBODY offered to help out and give us advice. It was way beyond upsetting. I will never go back there even though it’s a 2 min drive from my house!

It’s home depot, but it is a larger one. You’ve been to one you been to them all. The store is well maintained, typically stocked well. The staff is always helpful but not always knowledgeable.

I’m no stranger to Home Depots and the one in Rivergate is way too far away from my house, but I was in need of some paint stirrers for a project and happened to be in the area to pick some up. The guy in the paint department was super nice and made sure I had everything else for my project: paint can openers, brushes, trays, etc. I really just needed the stirrer, but had everything else. This is a larger location that I am used to seeing and it is configured a little differently than I am used to, but there is no shortage of people available to help you on your projects or just to let you know where stuff in the store is.

I’ve been shopping here since we bought our first home two years ago. Opened an account and all despite Lowe’s is way closer to our home. We just purchased mini blinds for our baby room(kid is due in September) had them cut to wrong length, completely my fault, I had both measurements on paper but gave them wrong one; lengthy rather than width. We’re all humans and we all make mistakes. Here’s the problem I returned them to another store and there«policy» says they can’t return them because there cut. So I asked for store credit and wasn’t happening, I asked for half off on a new one and that wasn’t happening either. So how do they do business with people like me? I was honest to say yes they were cut and I admitted it was my fault so is my honesty not worthy? I know HD doesn’t make a ton of money off me, I’m just the little guy here. i even saw a mini blind on the shelf what seemed to be a returnedShould I have just lied and said that Home Depot cut them wrong? I then called the complaint dept. and only ended up getting 25% $ 10 off the new one when I asked for half off $ 20. Guess they can’t do math either. So I’m ending up paying $ 41.58 plus 25% off another one $ 31.?? Total about $ 70.?? for one mini blind!!! So I’m not going back to a Home Depot again. Ill just go to Lowe’s which is closer to home. Just thought I’d share this with everyone.

One of the two big players in the home improvement space, there’s little difference between this one and the other. Mostly, the colors they use for the signage. Both have reasonable prices on tools and hardware and lumber. I do try to get to the next biggest chain(Ace hardware) or even a locally owned shop, but sometimes you just want to get everything all at once and be done with it. I’m a homeowner now(yay, me!) and so I’ve been spending an increasing amount of time and money here. This week, a couple of plywood boards. Last week, some electrical outlet fingerplates and a grill for in front of the fireplace. Prices are not totally out of control, as one would expect with most of it made in China. Such is life, these days. You’ll always find helpers in their bright orange aprons. These folks know the store layout and are always knowledgeable about how to get your project done. There are also demonstrations for various topics — gardening, sanding, tiling — where you can freely learn how to get even more done around your home.
