First and foremost, the location is not correct. They’re located in Pineville now. When you google search for the address, the old location on Providence is the only address you’ll see unless you go directly to their website or facebook page which I’m not apart of. The start of my first experience with them is falling upon the wrong address. When I notice I couldn’t find the place(on the day of my appointment), I called for assistance and spoke to the receptionist who was new to the shop and obviously to the area because she couldn’t help me to find their location. Once we figured it out, I realize I was 20 minutes away which made me late. I suggested to reschedule at that point but Tracy(the hairdresser) advise for me to just come and we’ll begin when I arrive. Upon my arrival, things went well. I explained to Tracy what I wanted and she advised she can deliver. Now I didn’t come for a basic wash, blowout, and style. I have a unique hair style which is a tapered TWA. I wear my natural hair pattern and I do understand when my top is needed to be trimmed, straightening my hair is required. I told Tracy that I can go to my barber to fade my sides but she stated she knew how to fade. OK. The process begins. I really loved how they finger detangle your hair first before shampoo and throughout the entire process. And I really enjoy that they use a wide tooth comb or brush during the blowout process. Most salons don’t do that so I never questioned at that point of her work. Now here is where things changed for me. She cut my top down just as I asked. My hair was pretty long up top. She faded the sides and styled. When she finished, everyone in the salon compliment the style including the other clients. When Tracy gave me the mirror so I can view her work, I almost passed out. The top was wonderful however, her taper was HORRIBLE! The left side of my head was cut at an angle and the right side was cut in a block shape. She didn’t fade at all. Now… Could I have taken the time to allow her to do over and correct? Yes but if you feel your finish product was a success, why would I allow you to mess it up even more. If I could post pics, I would. Thankfully my barber was available immediately afterwards. And to think, this is the same stylist who criticized my barbers way of cutting when I first arrived. Did she really think she did better? Now I can say this salon gave really good service for shampoo, steam, and styling however, if you have a detailed and particular haircut such as mines, I wouldn’t recommend this salon. Seems as if they’re good for just blowouts which I don’t rock. My first experience in this salon was my last. I will continue to travel to NY to see my original stylist when a trim is needed.
