Great store to find hostess gifts. Often have seasonal products (napkins, cups, etc) that are perfect for adding a little extra to parties you are hosting. Sections specifically dedicated to engagements and weddings, as well as milestone birthdays.

If you want to buy a jaw dropping personalized treat for yourself or a girlfriend, SWOOZIES, is the place to stop first. This is one of my favorite places to celebrate important ladies in my life to monogramed décor. I was able to find some amazing giveaways for an upcoming CHARLOTTE trade show (had to mix and match because of sold out inventory — STAFF was pretty helpful at suggestions). The good news is they will shock you with exciting little things, the other good news is that the store is tiny and can be overwhelming (bring a friend or a coin to help you narrow down your choices). I will be back soon for more women conference promotional gifts and birthday items (birthday candles and special plate).

This gift emporium is like girly wonderland. I’ve never struck out when coming here to pick up something for a loved one, whether it be a little girl, teacher, sister, girlfriend, or just myself, and I can’t say that about ANY other store in town. The vibe is bright and humorous, and they seem to specialize in «sassy» style. You can find monogrammed jewelry, tote bags, festive picnic & partyware, beach stuff, office accessories, stationery, tiaras, etc. from $ 5ish on up. And they tie it all up in cute pink and orange curly ribbon. Swoozies is first on my list to grab a gift I know my girls will love.

I remember Swoozies from my days in Raleigh back in 2008 and was so happy to hear that it was coming back!
My first time, I was headed for Chinese at nearby Baoding and just wandered upon the place. Luckily for me, they had one of the monogram-​door decoration-​wreath thingys that was on someone’s Christmas list. I took a cursory look around, but didn’t want my boyfriend to hate me, and headed to get Chinese.
I stopped back on a HomeGoods trip — sans boyfriend this time — and looked around a bit more. This is definitely the place to get fun paper goods when you’re having a fun, fancy party. They have a good amount of gifts, and unique items, but doesn’t rank up with Paper Skyscraper quite yet.

Recently opened (was this Run For Your Life, before?), Swoozies is the place to go for wedding invitations, odd gifts and holiday decorations. With only a week before Christmas, they had a ton of such things available including cocktail napkins, stationery, really nice wrapping paper, cups and glasses. And not just for Christmas — there were tons of other things for just regular birthdays!
I do hope that Swoozie’s makes it, but if you don’t find what you’re looking for here, try Paper Skyscraper.
