This is a lovely property that is maintained by marsh properties. The leasing office WILLNOT work with you and watch out if you have a pet. They tell you it is a pet deposit. NOTTRUE. It is THEIR $ 300 fee for allowing you to have a pet. ALSO they DONOTTELLYOU that the carpet is replaced every 5 years so if you live there for 2 or 3 years they will turn around and charge you when you leave for carpet replacement. I was expecting a refund as I had even had my walls repainted to their specifications. After living there 2⁄12 years one would expect normal wear and tear with cheap cheap Carpet-I was charged $ 800 for new carpet The leasing office ISNOT friendly or helpful(except for Trish). They raise your rent EVERYTIME you renew. The day I moved out my cat fell into the sewer storm grate and when I called the front office they told me they would send a repair man with a ladder so I could crawl down to rescue my cat. They NEVER did, nor did they care. It is a fantastic Iocation and they keep the grounds very maintained. Security is iffy and while I was there there were MANY breakins with vehicles.

I’ve lived in 5 different apartment buildings in my life. Strawberry Hill is, far and away, the most friendly, most professional, and most accommodating of them all. First, the area is just really attractive. The apartments have been around for some time, but they’ve done a good job of keeping the place looking great. Brick buildings, brick stairs, freshly painted handrails, a beautiful leasing office, etc. You do pay rent that reflects the niceties of the area, but it’s more than worth it, especially when you consider that it’s less expensive than many other complexes in the neighborhood. The location is great. You’re a 7 minute cab ride from most every bar uptown, and within walking distance from a Fresh Market, a Rite Aid and a handful of quality restaurants. Parking is usually an issue with most apartments. Not so at The Hill. I never once had to search for parking. The lot outside my apartment always had a couple spots to spare. A bad tenant can mess up your entire experience. Every tenant I met was kind. They even do a good job of sharing the tennis courts and pools. And some even clean up after their dogs. Which I assure you is rare. But anyone who has lived in more than a couple apartments knows that the real character of an apartment complex shows in: 1) Their repair guys 2) When you try to leave I’ve only had to call for repairs twice. Once, the guy came in, fixed the problem and left. The second time, he came in, fixed the problem, noticed the deadbolt on the door was sticking, and fixed it without being asked. That, again, is very rare. Lastly, Strawberry Hill and their leasing employees have been nothing short of human with my contracts. Even with my job placing ever-changing time constraints on my leasing terms, even when my job was in(sort of) peril, they did everything in their power to make it easy for me to stay. The leasing agent even congratulated me on my promotion,(that had been mentioned 3 months previous!!!) when I asked to discontinue my lease. She remembered a conversation we’d had 3 months before. Strawberry Hill is 3 times the size of any of my previous apartments, yet I felt less like a number to them than I did when I was the only tenant in a duplex. I’d recommend them to family.
