They refused to fix the haircut I got done from them.

Where do I start?! First, let me start by saying I never do reviews or stars, but I just need to Warn People about this Place and wished that I saw a warning before taking my daughter there.
My daughter being 18, needed her hair deep conditioned after having extentions in her hair for a while and this place had Awesome Reviews and 5 stars and after doing much research, I made the appointment. We arrived on time for her appointment along with 3 other women, first thing I noticed was smoke in the air of burnt hair, but didn’t know what was going on I just put it in the back of my mind so, myself my daughter and 2 other women stood there looking to see if anyone was coming up to help us or tell us to have a seat and they would be with us shortly, Nope… one lady finally came up and just told us to sign in and didn’t say anything of how backed up they were. So. sitting there yes, it’s a nice 2 chairs and a couch with snacks if you like but, Not enough room for the Backed up Customers. After waiting 1 ½ hours with no one saying a thing like sorry for your wait or we will be right with you, one lady that had arrived the same time we did was called up to the desk and told that if she wanted to rechedule or come back in 2 hours so, she said come back at 1:30 Note: We all arrived at 10 am and it’s 11:30 at this time. I should have just left with my daughter then but, no… give them a chance is what I kept thinking. So finally…10 min later for a total of 1 hour 40 mins they call my daughter!!! She’s ready, and I’m happy she is going back with a smile. The lady got her and after brushing her hair out sat her at the sink and then came back to her station and her and another employee started talking about the girl that just left, and how they couldn’t believe how she was but, not really sure what had happened I just let it slide. By the way, the Lady that did my daughter’s hair is Julia, and even though she was nice to us, I can’t help but to put her name out there because once she got started on my daughter’s hair the end result was that she burnt her hair all up! Then cut it after hot combing it and then hot ironed it again, which by this time I was sitting on the couch facing away from her but, long story short she Damaged her Hair and had my daughter CRYING leaving the parking lot!!! This is why I’m leaving this Comment and trying to find any and all sites they are on to SAVE someone tears. It BROKE my heart that she was so upset. All we went in was for Deep Condition and Pressed but, it was Fried!!! Her hair was to the middle of her back then Julia asked my daughter could she even it up and she didn’t know why but, thought it would be probably a good healthy thing to make it even and told her yes sure she cut it to her shoulders, and hot ironed it again with the shine spray oil all in her hair!!! my daughter said there was so much smoke coming from her hair, I didn’t see it because of facing the other way but, TRUST me this place is NOT looking out for their customers. Last but NOT LEAST, Notice on their site they have for 1^st time customers there is a 10% Discount, but in asking for it, and not noticing how my daughter was about to lose it, who ever Julia called over did the discount but, never a Thanks or Come see us again. I just can’t let this not be known, and I hope you find the warning before it’s too late or for them to work on customer service and training of what not to do on hair and don’t Burn it. I’m sure or should I say I hope the other girls know what they are doing, but None of them Looked Happy or Friendly, just the look of why am I here on Saturday. Zero Stars would be the Grade but, I guess free drinks and snacks are the Best thing they have going for them, oh, they advertise WiFi available but no signs or info on signing in and with no one helpful to let you know. But, that’s the least of my review, I want my daughter’s hair not Burnt to a Crisp!!!

I absolutely loved my experience at Salon Zen. I am new to the area and wanted a really good stylist so I would not find myself salon hopping. Salon Zen is my hair home. I would recommend them highly, you won’t go wrong. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing yet very friendly. Chayla was an absolute beauty and has great skill. She’s an artist not just a stylist. She was very knowledgeable and focused on healthy hair. I have found my stylist. Chayla, THANK YOU!!!

The girls here really know what they’re doing! I was looking for a new stylist when I moved to town. I’m glad I found them. Nice cool atmosphere. And free snacks! Lol
