Will not be going back. Do not recommend. My two sisters and I went to royal Nails for the first time. Our usual place was closed and no other salons were answering. We made an appointment for 3:30, and got there around 3:25. We were told to pick our colors which we did quickly. There were three people already there and only three workers. We sat down and waited for an hour and a half before they started us. Around 4:30 another woman came in and they told me to move to another seat so that this woman could sit down. I moved, but shortly after, I asked when they thought we’d be done because it was 4:50 and we hadn’t even started. I then showed them the style I wanted and they said they couldn’t do it. I had to settle for less because I had already been there for almost 2 hours and other places would close soon. They finally started me and my sisters once I’d asked three times. They quickly did my sister’s and my nails. But my older sister’s took another hour. Will not be going back. This trip took 3 and a half hours of my last day of break. Do not recommend if you’re going for a quick trip. They don’t have a big range in styles, and their painting is average at best. I will definitely not be going back.

GO HERE. At first, I walked into Ballantyne nail salon around the corner and inquired about a mani pedi combo. $ 45! Eeek! I opt d to go elsewhere and found this Cute little nail salon!
And the price was $ 35. Score! :-). They do a very nice thorough job. Spent a lot of time shaping and cleaning up my nails. They have nice massaging chairs and provide massage oil and lotion rubbing. I’m very pleased with my service and will be back!

Was so pleasantly surprised to find this gem — it’s tucked down a side street with a few other shops, and the inside is so small and cozy that you feel like you have the whole place to yourself. There was no wait but I would imagine that could be an issue for them at busy times.
The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because they didn’t ask me what type of pedicure I wanted — just gave me a basic one. It wasn’t until I was drying my nails that I saw on the wall an entire menu of pedicures. It is hidden by a column if you are sitting in the pedicure chairs! So I would have elected for a more deluxe treatment. No biggie, though, I know for next time!

I moved here from San Francisco and before that I lived in New York City — so I’ve had my fair share of Mani pedi ‘s… From endless salons. This place is great. Hidden gem — clean and efficient. Staff is very friendly. And relaxing environment. Will be going back.

Went here to get my eyebrows waxed and it doesn’t even look like I got them done. Won’t be back.

Royal Nails is amazing! Very private & clean. The owner and the staff are excellent.
When I am in Charlotte visiting family, this is a must visit.

I thought I’d finally found my nail salon, but 3 weeks out I sadly admit I must keep looking. Kim is the owner and very sweet, attentive. She does acrylic nails the ‘old way’, meaning she files by hand NOT machine. I had no real issue with that. I was the only one in the shop on a Thursday mid-​afternoon. The shop is immaculately clean… VERY IMPORTANT to me. She did use the same utensils on me out of a drawer, but I have no problem asking for new and paying for them or bringing my own. I left happy and with a beautiful set of acrylic nails. Five days out, I noticed a nail lifting at the cuticle. I called and she gave me immediate spot to ‘repair’. On day 12 I had 4 more nails ‘lifting’ at the cuticles… where she wasn’t able to hand file close enough to the cuticles to keep the level as they grew out. Before I could call her I caught one of the lifting nails in my hair, while running my hand through it, and it ripped my real nail back to where it lifted off my nail bed… OUCH to the 10^th degree. I’m NOT going back… I can do this badly on my own.

Went back recently and they rushed through the mani/​pedi even though no one else was in the shop. The color was put on so thick that it bubbled and didn’t dry properly. It started chipping in 2 days. :-(So sad when a great place delcines.
