Jennifer MacLeod, Graduate Gemologist, is excellent at what she does! I highly recommend her services; she is professional and knowledgeable about her stones :). Thank you so much for your kindness; I appreciate you. I highly recommend Perry’s across from Southpark, in the gold building.

I’m a negative Unilocal reviewer — I don’t write a Unilocal review unless my experience was so bad that I felt the need to vent. So for me to actually take the time to write a good review means that I must have had a pretty great experience. I did at Perry’s, at least with Tom, their Master Goldsmith. Tom helped my fiancé and I design and create a perfect ring. He educated me on different materials and walked us through the entire process of creating a ring. From start to finish of the ring, Tom was professional, polite and provided great customer service. He met the timelines set and final product was amazing. I highly recommend Tom’s work if you need custom jewelry. Their price was also cheaper than a quote I received from Diamonds Direct, who’s in the same area.

It was great working with Jennifer Macleod, we had a ring appraised and had a watch battery replaced. She was very kind and professional, and very patient, we had our 1 ½ yr old son with us as we waited for the appraisal. She gave us a bunch of goodies on our way out, which was very much appreciated. The rest of the staff was friendly and courteous as well, great vibe. We recommend Perrys to anyone looking for a trustworthy company to take care of their jewelry needs.

I received a beautiful ring as a gift from my mother, who found a perfect(and genuine) replica of a ring I loved of my grandmother’s on Perry’s website. A small pearl came loose and I contacted Eliza from Perry’s, who said that I could ship it to her for repair, plus cleaning and return shipping — free of charge! I received my beautiful bauble back a few weeks later, in perfect condition. The customer service is just fantastic! HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!

Perry’s exceeded our expectations! They used my husband’s grandmothers diamond ring to construct new wedding bands for him and I. The whole process was great, Todd the gentleman who actually made the rings, took time with us in his office and was always available via phone/email. The price was reasonable too.

I was new to the area and found Perry’s to do appraisals on my jewelry for insurance needs. I thought the price was kind of high($ 75 for the first piece, $ 50 for each additional), but seeing past reviews I thought I would get really good service and value for my money. I got in to drop off my items one evening as I was told I didn’t need an appointment, but apparently I was given wrong information. Thankfully they were able to help me anyway(that’s a plus). When I was there, however, my time was rudely interrupted when another employee came to get the lady who was working with me due to an unhappy customer. The lady helping me seems to approach the situation professionally and apologized for the interruption, but the gentleman who got her was not very professional about it at all. I was told about a week to get my items back, which was acceptable in my view. A week later I went to pick them up and didn’t have a good experience at that time either. They brought me my appraisals, but didn’t even bring my jewelry until I asked, and just tried to check me out for payment. They had them all bagged up, but I asked for the list of what I dropped off to make sure I had all my pieces, an inventory of sorts. Thankfully I did do that because they had a ring in my items which did not belong to me!!! I did not pay until going through each piece. Knowing exactly what I own, I kept saying that was not my ring, yet they seemed to thing they couldn’t be wrong with putting the ring in my bag. They didn’t know what to do, did not even see how bad the mistake could’ve been if I was not honest about the ring. The lady checking me out was not apologetic, did not show any care to the ring, and the gentleman who helped(same guy from my initial drop off) did not seem to really care either how big of a mistake they just about made! Customer service really has a lot to be said for with my two interactions at this store. One would thing for such a store(dealing with estate jewelry and the like, locked doors for access, etc.) would have a little more to say about nearly giving away someone else’s belongings! I was flabbergasted at the situation, especially since they were questioning ME saying it wasn’t my ring. Sorry people, I don’t think you’re too good for making a mistake of that magnitude. How can you not be super concerned and blown away by such error? While walking the store to look around, the gentleman really seemed to give the appraiser a hard time about the situation, even leaving it all to be heard in the store(at least we could hear it), which is so unprofessional. Very disappointed and very unsatisfied from just 2 quick visits. I will not go back again due to customer service and pricing alone. I highly advise anyone who drops items off to go through each piece when received to insure they are YOUR items.

I was very happy to know they have an In-house Watchmaker. I took my P serial number Rolex watch in for repair and service, as it stopped running after a day at a time. The cost was very fair and the watch looked better when I got it back than when I bought it! Turns out it wasn’t winding with my wrist action. Matt did a full overhaul and it is perfect again. Highly recommended to people seeking watch repair, and I was happy to know that it wasn’t sent out for repair which could end in an unknown event.

Went in to sell an antique platinum bracelet with about one hundred small diamonds in it. It’s a beautiful piece that has been appraised for $ 10,000 in the past. The evaluator offered less than $ 1,000(less than the value of the platinum). He essentially explained that the design and the small diamonds were worth less than nothing. I wouldn’t trust them to buy any jewelry at any reasonable price.

My husband and I purchased my diamond ring from Heather there. We had been to Diamonds Direct and found that Perry’s was a much, much, much better value. The same size diamond there was $ 10,000 more and under the scope it looked like«frozen spit» my husbands words. The diamonds from Diamonds Direct were not of high quality at all. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and price at Perry’s. They were a smaller more boutique shop, but they had just as many great pieces. The other stores were overloaded with junk for the masses. My ring was an estate piece that had so much style and a classy vintage 1950s charm that is timeless. We are very happy with Perry’s and would highly recommend them. We now go back every year for their annual sale to see what unique piece I cannot live without.

If you are looking to sell, go elsewhere! I was selling a diamond bracelet and Perry’s offered $ 250.00. Knowing that this price was not enough to get me to sell, I took the bracelet to another jeweler off Park Road. The jeweler off Park Road offered over $ 660.00! So do your research before selling!

I have had jewelry repaired here, sold jewelry here, and purchased here. I shopped around many jewelry stores and Perry’s definitely gave me the best price for my old gold by hundreds of dollars. Most recently I had a ring that I’ve had for 22 years repaired here when the flimsy band broke. Perry’s offered me a different variety of options to repair it. They gave me an inexpensive option(to Sauter it) and also the option to have the ring re-banded. I chose to re-band and It was worth every penny! Honestly, it still wasn’t that expensive. In Every experience I’ve had here, I have been met with a knowledgeable and very courteous staff and have been satisfied with the work. Their selection of estate jewelry is phenomenal. You should not buy, sell, Or have any piece of jewelry repaired anywhere but here.

I used to love to browse antique and estate jewelry at Perry’s when it was in the mall. So, I took an out of state friend over to the new location. Imagine my embarrassment when instead of the beautiful store I imagined, we were greeted by a locked entry with a receptionist behind a glass asking if we were buying or selling? When I said I’m not sure, she said are you in our system? The lady before us had been required to give a photo I’d and a history of her life before entering. It literally astounded me! We walked out, feeling as if we weren’t good enough to enter – so, we didn’t. It would have been nice to feel welcome, but that didn’t happen.

I took a diamond ring with 18 diamonds to Perrys and talked with Holly. The ring was purchased for $ 2,500 and she said diamonds weren’t worth anything any longer and offered to purchased the ring for $ 89.00 — yes. .. $ 89.00. This place is a rip off and if diamonds aren’t worth anything any longer, why are their diamonds VERY expensive. Holly really had an attitude and wasn’t very pleasant to talk to either. I am at a loss at all the good reviews. This place is terrible!!!

I can’t say enough about Perry’s —from the moment you walk in the door, you are treated royally. Perry’s is regarded as one of the finer places in Charlotte to purchase, sell or have appraisals done on your treasured family heirlooms. I will go nowhere else. The staff is wonderful and always make you feel comfortable. I especially like to have Jennifer MacLeod do my appraisals as she is so knowledgable and you can tell she truly enjoys her work. I always come away with learning something new from her every time I am there.

Great place to sell jewelry! I was given $ 100 more than other quotes on the same jewelry I was selling. The staff were polite and helpful. I went on a Saturday afternoon and there wasn’t a wait. I was in and out in under 20 minutes. If you have jewelry to sell, I would highly recommend Perry’s!

So the new location is less Mall and more professional feel to it. For this visit I was actually having them sell a piece of jewelry. The piece was actually acquired from them, so I was thrilled when they indicated the market had picked up and I’d probably make some money on the piece. Folks are very professional and also personable. I just wish I hadn’t moved way. Great company for many aspects of jewerly acquistions.

I was wondering what to do about a ring that had lost 2 diamonds and with the economy the way it is, I knew I had to be careful on how to spend my money. I missed wearing my ring but didn’t want to stop eating or have heat to get it repaired. I went to a competitor and they gave me a quote. Thinking that because of Perry’s location, it would probably be high priced to repair. So, I got my bid from their competitor and since I was going near Perry’s I decided to drop in anyway and get a bid on the repairs. Was I ever surprised and delighted. The bid to do the same things to my ring, reset a lost diamond and replace the lost diamond, I was thrilled that their price was so much better than their competitor. What a thrill to be able to afford to get it repaired and at a jeweler who I will now take all of my business to and someone I will highly recommend to friends and other Unilocalers. They have now moved their location across from Southpark Mall so it was fortunate that I knew of their move. The new location is much better than in the mall and there was no wait. The young lady, I think it was Elisa, who helped me was so nice and personable. What a great experience. I HIGHLY recommend anyone use Perry’s. They are a class act!
