Ooo Wee Bbq

With all the tempting choices at Food Truck Friday I was extremely satisfied with my choice of OooWee BBQ. I had the pulled beef brisket with Mac and cheese and a sweet potato. Absolutely delicious! I shared with my husband (who already finished his meal) and could barely keep him from stealing my yummies. The Mac and cheese was amazing! I can’t wait to go back and eat at this truck again. George sure can smoke up some delectable food! Yum!

I have been reluctant to try this food truck because when I think of bbq, i think of pork and beef which are two meats I no longer eat. But looking at their menu while they were parked outside of Triple C, I realized that have quite a broad menu that even pescetarians and vegetarians can enjoy.
The menu consists of bbq which can be pork, brisket, chicken and even smoked salmon for meat and you get your choice of 4 sides with each meal option. Sides can be ordered separately.
I ordered the smoked salmon plate with smoked sweet potatoes and mac n cheese. The salmon was amazing. I never had salmon as bbq before and it was such a creative idea. The smoked sweet potatoes were also good. I was a little disappointed with the mac n cheese and was also craving more sauce for the bbq but still a very good meal from a food truck.
Next time I see them I want to try the bbq sundaes which I hear are amazing.

If you see this truck you must stop! I have had everything and it’s all so good. George is one of the friendliest people I have ever met. Top notch.

BBQ sundae, get it! If you’re lucky to visit when he has dessert, try that too, it’s all great!
Recently added smoked turkey is definitely worth a try also, or just add it to your BBQ sundae.

This food truck came by my job for lunch so I’m a tad biased due to convenience! And I’m from Lexington, NC area so bah-​buh-​cue is my thang!
As chopped BBQ «sammiches» go this one is pretty good! The sauce is sweet like I like it and it was refreshing to have Mac and cheese that wasn’t kraft!
