I cannot express how upset I am at the mutilation of my LK Bennet suede booties. I have a high arch and needed these brand new shoes to(hopefully) be a little easier to slide my foot into. I took them here having only had the heels of my pumps repaired by this vendor before. I stressed to them that if they could not do what I needed it was fine, and pleaded with them to take good care of my shoes and if they did nothing at all in order to keep the shoe appearance exactly the same it was fine. I picked them up yesterday and nearly cried when I saw them. The entire body of the shoe had been stretched beyond recognition, and though they are easier to put on, I now look like I have 2 club feet when I look down. I told the owner I was upset and wished he had told me that the entire look of the shoe would be altered in the stretching process, and he continually said, «they’re fine. You wear them.» I think the language barrier was apparently too much to overcome, and I will happily pay double the price anywhere else in order to work with someone I can actually communicate with and who understands the outcome I am looking for.

This is a tiny shop on the basement level of a strip mall. They are not open on weekends nor do they take credit cards, but so what? These folks are friendly, efficient and did a bang up job on two pairs of footwear that I brought to them. One was a pair of nearly new looking pumps that needed heel taps. The other was my treasured pair of Zodiac boots from the ’80’s. They needed heel replacements and some good old TLC. They are now in mint condition! Prices are reasonable. I can’t remember what the boots cost($ 20.00, maybe) and the shoes were $ 12.00. Good for someone who likes to keep their vintage footwear.

I took a pair of pleather Nine West booties to be repaired here. I liked the shoes but had probably only spent $ 60 on them. I asked for the soles and tips replaced. All of this was done and the job was decent but the price was not. It cost me over $ 40 in cash for the job. Credit cards aren’t accepted. I wish I had been told in advance of the cost — I probably would not have had the shoes repaired had I known this.
