I cannot tell you how many times I have given this store a chance to straighten up but no more! Once again, today, I went there with a simple order and was shorted a burger. It is always something missing. The ticket is correct but the bag never has the correct contents. You call the manager and «we will make it right just come back and come inside for your replacement». Like I have nothing better to do than go to a Fast Food Joint twice to get my order right. I wish they would shut their doors and we would get another Fast Food restaurant in its place because the location is so convenient. They outta fire the lot of them including the Manager!

McDonalds or McDowells? This place is horrible. They have certain McDonald standards that were met… fries were okay, HI-​C was the same and the cups looked like McDonalds cups. Other than that this place was a disappointment. Seemed to be understaffed, the staff there looked messy (all in different ratty tshirts) and the place was a mess! The only reason we were there is because of the playground. Having to leave the house for 2 house for a house showing will force many parents with 3 kids 6 and under to make a deal with the devil. My devil was McDonalds. As a consumer I assume that all McDonalds make tons of cash… especially ones in crowded locations like this one. I can’t image this place is doing that well. Avoid this place if possible!
If you are reading this and either own or manage this location please do the world a favor and find a new line of work. If you want to stay in the fast food business may I recommend driving across the street or down the road to one of the Chic-​fil-​as. They always seem busy YET appropriately staffed, well dressed in the same uniform, polite, attentive, and eager to please.

How is this location still in business? Keep in mind this place currently has a 91 health rating. The edges of my hamburger bun were rock hard and the entire burger itself was lukewarm and clearly had been sitting under a warmer for who knows how long. It was inedible. Aside from the food, customer service is terrible. When I pulled up to the window, the cashier just held her hand out for my money. No words were ever spoken from her. I’m completely appalled with this location.

Horrible experience whoever invested in this business run to it and tend to it please I have been to other McDonalds they have been fine nothing crazy amazing or crazy bad but this one was definitely bad I understand they close this one down at 10 or 9 the guy who worked there didn’t even know when they closed but somewhere in that time range and we arrived there at 7:15 to take our lil boy to play in the play area and to get a soft serve ice cream the guy walks in 5 minutes after we get there to tell us it is closed and I asked him if he could atleast play 15 minutes he bluntly said no literally all I was asking was 15 minutes for my child and it was not like the play area was in bad conditions

This may have been the worst food establishment and quality I’ve experienced. It is understood it is McDonalds and a certain level of expectations should be held. The odor throughout the building had a very distinct sewage resemblance causing me
To have waves of nausea throughout dinner. I do a lot of travel to 3^rd world countries and feel I can hold my own, but given the location of this McDonalds and the clientele it is trying to server, I would of expected this more in a country that has much less sanitation requirements. I would strongly recommend that HQ or regional management get involved or you could consider this place closed in the near future. This place just convinced me of my «Last McDonald Supper». You’ll always live in my childhood memories. It’s been real!

Visited yesterday day with wife and four grand kids. Food was ok but place was dirty. Uncleaned tables, trash on floors, dirty drink and condiment area. French fries stuffed in a cut in one of the booths. Kid doing clean up looked like he was in a trance. Staff indifferent. Owner of this place must be real ‘proud’ of himself! Won’t be back anytime soon! Forgot… wife said ladies room was disgusting!

Yet another McDonald’s with a 24 hr sign that isn’t A 24 HR LOCATION. Yet another POS.

My family and I will not be returning anytime soon, the overall cleanliness and atmosphere is VERY POOR! It’s really bad when you question whether or not you should take a shower after visiting this establishment! The staff looked as though they were less than thrilled to be there and the quality of the food and presentation did not reflect the standard I am accustomed to from a fast food restaurant in the Ballantyne area. Beware of the playground area! Lesson learned!

should add after I put my previous review for McDonald’s I took my tray up front and let the person who look like to be the manager see it I Did not do that to get rewarded but hoped for I am sorry. I got some more drink after I inspected my cup for no fly!!! left and still did not get an apology. Amazing they had plenty of time but not a word. That’s all.

Worst mcdo i have ever been to. Too slow. waited more than 30 mins for my order when it is NOT busy at all. Told crew about a wet floor and nobody cared. After 30 mins manager started cleaning tables and told him about the wet floor. He snapped ay me telling me their day is rough today with his eyes rolled up and an attitude. When i was so nice and just concern about someone slipping and them getting a case on the court for that. They have to totally re hire NEW crews and a new manager.

Ok so it’s McD’s… What I absolutely can’t stand is the fact that’s it’s the only one that I’ve been to where they only accept cash. Stop being lazy and do the damn card machine! I mean seriously who carries cash anymore?! And how do u not put cheese on a CHEESEburger?!

Horrible, I asked if a could add a large drink and the man at the drive through said «Add it on at the 2^nd window», in a rude way. Then we had to wait 14 minutes just for two four piece chicken nuggets we ordered since they only rang up one. So we pulled off and they didn’t give us any sauces, so we went back and got them. When we opened it up and they had given us the habanero ranch. Strange the woman in jeans and a black shirt «no uniform?» missed it. Needless to say the 5 and 9 y/​o that they were for couldn’t eat that. You would expect better on this side of town. Tip: «Don’t waste your time and money here!» Ps, don’t miss the current 93 sanitation rating from this February!

The service here is very, very poor. The place is dirty. I took a picture over the overflowing trash can inside the restaurant at 8:45 am on a Sunday. Consistently slow service. Every time I have been here the service is slow and the staff is at best confused and very indifferent. This morning the service is even worse. Many people are complaining about the wait, wrong orders, and unprofessional staff. One man even asked for a refund. This McDonald’s needs a new franchise owner. Avoid this McDonald’s unless you want slow service and a poor experience.

Key: Notice the dates on the reviews. This place was great but mismanaged into not so great. First thing to understand is that this is a fantastic location. The result is that they don’t have to do it right to keep people coming in.
I went inside the restaurant to eat last Saturday at 5:45 pm. Immediately noticed the place was a dump. Trash everywhere. Even a seat cushion was ripped. (When was the last time you viewed a ripped seat cushion in a McDonald’s?) I used the restroom — same thing — one hand dryer was busted. Gross.
But I thought, maybe they cater to the drive through and neglect the store? So I went ahead and ordered my food anyways (plus I had a coupon). Both my Big Mac and the ¼ pounder came with stale buns. How is this possible at 5:45 pm on a Saturday night?
It’s all the fault of the management — the sad part is that it used to be fine but now it’s not. Also there is a Chick-​a-​filet a mile up the road that is awesome. Maybe that is where the management goes to eat?

As MCD’s go, this one is deluxe! For families, the indoor play area is 3 times the size you normally find, and appears quite clean. Also, plenty of seating, even booths right inside the play area.
The food is what you would expect, but the décor is quite nice — even a stone gas log fireplace.
Lastly, an employee went out of her way to find the Puss in Boots toy my daughter really wanted even though it wasn’t the toy of the week. Nice customer service!

I can’t argue with anything the other reviewers have said. There are two comments I want to make, one positive, one negative.
First, the good: This is the only McD’s I have been to that has electrical outlets in the dining area where I can get a booth and plug in my laptop. This is convenient as I am often stuck in south Charlotte for several hours and need a place to kill time and search job listings, etc. This is why I gave two stars instead of one.
The bad: The cleanliness of the rest rooms (at least the men’s room) leaves much to be desired, even for a McDonald’s. I get the impression that all of the employees are hoping that someone else will attend to it.
As for the food, well, it’s McDonalds, so what can I say. I usually get a drink and, if anything, maybe an apple pie.

As this is a Mcd’s, Even with a one-​star rating, I’ll probably return. The rating is for the service. I have NEVER received the correct order in the drive-​thru; ALWAYS check your order before pulling off.
I have to say that my guess is that this occurs is due to no one being a native English speaker in the establishment. Just a hunch…

This has happened to me too many times so I felt the need to put them on blast. Went through the drive-​thru and when I got home the order was not right. There’s nothing worse than being hella hungry and finding your food to be not what you wanted! How f-​ing hard is it to read an order and make it correctly. This is the last time I will be forced to eat something I didn’t want. Drive-​thru customers beware! Check your order-​inside and out-​before you leave.

I wanted to review this place just because it tends to me a bit more unique than the typical McPoison’s. The 4 stars are simply for three reasons and three reasons, only. Firstly, its location. It’s in a great location and is the only McDonald’s directly south of I485. Secondly, the restaurant is always very well maintained and feels clean, and lastly, the playground.
This location has a great kids play area, especially compared to other McDonald’s locations; I’ve never seen one quite like it. It has a lot of different activities on the climbing area alone ranging from ropes to spinners to climbing nets. It and also has a few other activities such as interactive video games where the child stands on a skateboard and manipulates the game –they’re actually get to do some fun physical activity after eating their 700+ calorie lunch. It also has a similar type device but is a racing game. As well as the video games, it also has a couple of lower areas where very young children can play if they aren’t able to climb on the taller activities. They even have a fully-​netted mini trampoline which is also great for kids.
I really like the seating area where the play area is, too. Unlike most locations, the one’s which may have two tables, this has more like 16 tables so more than two families can site and watch their kids pickup virus’ which their body isn’t immune to yet.
One downside to this location being as it’s the one around here is that the drive-​through line can get quite lengthy; though it does go quickly.
It kills me to rate a McDonald’s 4 stars, but based on the three factors I mentioned above I feel it deserves it. The food itself going without saying –its crap* :)
* OK, my disclaimer to that is that their coffee, chocolate Mocha, and milkshakes are actually pretty good –they get half a star for those items…
