Terrible course. Can’t even get tee times right. Would never come back. The wits experience ever

What a pos course. The greens are 50 dirt and cheap Bermuda, the same as on the fairways. The carts are old and slow and the whole place is run down. I can believe its the same price as Old Symcamore total crime. There are stupid signs everywhere like please keep all 4 tires on path and everything is cart path only. Worst course in Charlotte.

Larkhaven is a an old scool course. You can tell when you play it. Number 9 is a fun 200yd par 3 over a pond when the teebox is open. This course is great two times a year, in the fall and in the winter/​spring months. They have old school rye grass, so when the other course are brown this course is green. The course has an okay layout. What seperates this course is that it is in usually in great shape, though in the summer I stay away. The price point is always great and the staff is awesome. It is nowhere near a resort/​country club course, but it is worth to play in the fall and spring.

I’ve noticed there aren’t a lot of reviews of golf courses on here and being a golfer myself I like to know about courses and get recommendations for new ones to play. I try and play a couple of times a month if possible. I’m your typical weekend golfer who likes a good deal and a quick round with friends.
I played Larkhaven Sunday with 2 friends and we found it to be a good find. We all live in the south part of town and the drive was around 30 minutes. This is a little far, but if the course is good and the price is right I don’t mind the drive.
Turns out Larkhaven was worth it. It’s a classic course layout with most greens situated right next to the next tee box. The greens were in good shape with the exception of a few. It was a challenging course with tight fairways and small greens. All the par 3s were long but fun to play. My threesome was in agreement that this was a good course with a great layout, we got a good price and worth the drive.
