Hawthorn Suites By Wyndham Charlotte – Executive Center

Such a lovely quaint double bed (of course this is all they offer). A perfect, romantic getaway for you and your business companion. Seriously. They only have rooms with one double bed.

A nice hotel. I spent three nights here on a business/​training trip to North Carolina. The room was clean and more then adequate for my needs. The wifi wasn’t that great (very slow), but what do you expect when there are probably several dozen people connected to it throughout the hotel at any given time? The breakfast they had wasn’t bad. They had a little bit better variety then some hotels I have stayed at and tried to change it up a little bit every day.
Overall I had a great experience at the Hawthorn Suites and if i were to return to Charlotte in the future I would definitely stay there again.

Rooms aren’t too bad, staff is friendly, and its cheap. Ive been here over 2 weeks and my main issue is the Internet service is horrible. When it’s not totally dead (like right now) it’s super super slow. Forget netflix — the Google homepage takes 2 minutes to load… totally unacceptable to try to do any business. I have to drive down to a mcdonalds to send or receive an email with attachments. When you complain to the staff they reset the modem, which doesnt do anything to fix the problem and kicks everyone in the hotel offline.
Yesterday they ran out of paper plates for breakfast.

Room not as described. The suites are NOT suites; they are a room with a kitchenette. Had to upgrade to a bedroom suite to get room with sofa bed. This used to a candle wood and converted. Front desk clerk scott did his best to satisfy us but we were not happy with the way it went. Hotel seems clean but there is an odd smell in the hallway. Parking lot pretty limited too. Will skip this one next time. Oh and they don’t know what handicapped access room means.

We really liked this place. Visited in November 2012. It was inexpensive and very spacious. We really liked the fixtures, accents, and the «dimmer» for the fan. It was a nice touch. Our room had a kitchenette with a stove and fridge. It also had a living room area. Separate from the bedroom. The bathroom was also spacious. It was a beautifully appointed room and it was very clean. This was a pleasant surprise becaues we were not expecting much from this place. Totally wowed us! Highly recommended.
