PROS: There’s a lot of families here if you enjoy that, a very small playground, bus stop for children is very close by,(it’s near the apartment office) pets are allowed(deposit required, though, I think), laundry room attached to apt(it’s outside), multiple washers @ the office, mix of races, mostly Hispanic community, black, and some white, regularly guy comes over selling ice cream«paletas»(unless he stopped which is sad he’s being selling them for years =(.), near small stores, has a bus stop right outside of it, right outside Starmount area, 9 – 14 minute walk to light rail. CONS: Bad bug problem,(roaches, ants) terrible maintenance service,(they don’t show up and it takes multiple calls to get them) they turn off the water during winter a lot, turn water off without any notice for hours or for a day, some parts of the complex have little parking space left, stray cats fighting early in the morning, multiple burglaries over the years, drunk guys in the alleys, police show up only early in the mornings/sometimes in the afternoon(3AM-2PM), loud children and adults, stuff here breaks easily, children now play in what used to be the dogs play area(this could be a pro for some), there’s a bar and pool game place a couple minutes from grand oaks and lots of drunks park at grand oaks. I do NOT recommend staying here, ONLY giving this a 2 star because I stayed here for a VERY long time. I recommend not staying here, but if you can’t afford anything else get a temporary contract to stay here.(Unless you actually like this place, if you do woooow.)

My friend stays here with his family, its well located next to a bus stop and light rail station. Its an older apartment complex with its usual problems, but there are allot of families so you can over look allot of concerns.
