The doctor who runs this clinic is a very nice man. He also appears to be a very knowledgeable doctor, and he along with the rest of the staff say grace every morning. However, in the three years that this location served as her primary care doctor, we only saw the doctor twice. The rest of the time we were attended by P.A. ’ s, who were very bright and intelligent, but I never saw the same one twice. Every time I asked for a referral, one was never given. The only reason I had her here this long was because I used another doctor in Gastonia, and eventually only visited Grace for annual checkups. It seems impossible to make same– day appointments, which is a real problem. They are also closed Friday. I just went with another primary care provider, and my experience having her medical records faxed to the new office exemplifies the type of care you can expect. I signed a consent form two and a half weeks ago and it was then faxed to their office. I called today to confirm they had been sent and after being on hold for fifteen minutes and describing the nature of my call to 2 different people, they finally confirmed that a release had been sent. When I asked how much longer it might be before they could be released, they promised they would be faxed today. I realize a lot of folks can’t afford better, and I know it is a small practice, but issues could be handled so much more expediently. Think twice before making Grace Medical Clinic your child’ s primary care doctor.
