FirstService Residential Carolinas

Terrible property manager. Im concerned they are negligent or doing financial improprieties. I requested copies of my HOA (The Block at Church St HOA) financial documents but FirstService is violating the law and will not provide them to me. FirstService mismanaged our HOA annual elections and the HOA had to hire a lawyer and redo the elections. Nor does First Service return phone messages.

I’m sure everyone has gathered by the other reviews Abbott, now FirstService Residential, is a pretty terrible property management company. I think my HOA is great it is the management services that FirstService fails to provide that is awful. Between the unresponsiveness and complete lack of accountability it seems all the employees of FirstService Charlotte have, I’m shocked they haven’t had far more legal action against them. I’ve contacted everyone there from Dominique Rojas, Jennifer Torres, McCall Nokovich (the list goes on) and they make absolutely no apologies for their unethical business practices. They have lied to me and my HOA numerous times, don’t keep up with or address complaints regarding property conditions (which should be managed anyway), and will find literally any way to get out of doing any actual work. Of all the properties I have owned I can say the customer service here is hands down the worst. I am currently trying to provide my HOA with more reputable companies to manage our property and hope anyone reading this review will do the same!

These folks are a complete unprofessional joke. They are are quick to sue you if you break any sort of soft POA/​HOA Law. There is one person in Vera Victorino
who spends her time sending out threatening letters that have no basis for the accusation nor and evidence of anything done wrong. Dennis Abbott (
) also is just as useless. They have done a very poor job with managing our property at River Run in Davidson, NC. There is absolutely no way I would ever use them or recommend them.

Resident R clearly came to Unilocal to grind an axe. That said, he is absolutely correct. We had these cretins at Sir John’s Hill for a while, until a new Board finally woke up and replaced them. They do suck the bone!
