I recently bought a foreclosed house and due to an electrical issue with couple of items out of home inspection, I had to get an electrical fix and inspection done by a certified electrician. So I Google for an electrician and his name came up. I called him up to see if he can give me a quote and he sent one of his guy to look at what was going on. I even sent him the inspection report so that everything was read for him and all he had to do was come out look at the issue and give me a latter stating that it’s a minor issue. I had to work with Ed directly to get what I wanted and it required few phone calls. I got to letter from him so I thought I was done right? WRONG — mortgage company said I need to get it fixed and get another letter once both items were fixed. So I asked him again to fix these items and he sent the same guy again to fix it. I could have fixed those items myself but I had to get the certified letter from Ed and his condition was that the only way he would prove the letter was if his guy fixed it. So I had to hire him again to get it fixed. The thing I didn’t like was the fact that he charged me ridiculous amount of money since he knew that I HAD to go through him to get the letter and once the work was done, he refused to send me the letter saying all the items were fixed. It took few phone calls and emails back and forth for me to get what I needed so that I get done with him.
