Da Lucky Spot Barber Shop

The barber was nice, but he didn’t do a great job at all. I came out irritated and upset. Seriously, mad depressed. This dude fucked up my line. He cut both sides of my hair all wrong. I clearly asked for square and he gave me points instead. Points which I despise with a passion. He cut my hair too far back and the cut looks like something from great clips. They compete in shows, my ass. That shit wasn’t worth $ 20. Next time I’m going to D’stylo where people don’t fuck up. And only charge 15 for everything including razor. Worst fucking decision of my life was to go there. Thanks for fucking up my hair. NEVER GOING BACK!!!

Tyler is a cool barber that actually listens to his clients. His line-​up skills are top class and he doesn’t upsell his cuts. My 10 year old and I got a cut for $ 25 total and our cuts were better than another place that charged us a little more. From what I saw from the other chairs the other barbers are very skilled as well. They actually compete in state and national barber shows. I highly recommend this place over the other Charlotte barber shop I reviewed. Yes it’s in the hood, yes the guys here cuss alot but its nothing but Straight talk about real issues and doesn’t affect their craft. Trust me!
Why not 5 stars? I need more time… If i could I’d give it 4.5 stars now…

Greg’s my barber here and he’s fantastic. Greg works mainly by appointment but takes walk-​ins as well. I’m not a fan of appointments but I’m adapting. Greg, Lucky, and the rest of the staff are good, and prices are reasonable. In terms of barber shops, Da Lucky Spot is a decent place. Greg is a phenomenal barber.
A few downsides: the area the shop is locating in is a bit ghetto. While I think it’s great that they wash patrons hair before they cut their hair, the shop’s towels, even though washed, are super dirty, stained. They look as if they were used to clean the shop. I even brought my own towel … or I simply decline the hair wash.

This place is awesome, the owner is very friendly. I took my boy here for the first time since moving to Charlotte NYC and I gotta say I feel right at home like I never left the south bronxs. Da lucky spot is the place to go… Great prices great environment All around great service!!! Will return soon!
