The chicken and waffles was crazy good. I had the waffles with the cream cheese drizzle and the jerk chicken fingers. Topping each quarter of waffle with a chicken finger and then dunk it in the jerk sauce — that combo of sweet and spicy — to die for!!!

The facts: I waited in line for 1 hour, 22 minutes. It was hot and asphalt is hard. It went from daylight, clear blue skies to floodlight filled nighttime while I waited. I was not alone in my suffering for their food. I got out of line after 1 hour, 22 minutes because the chefs still had 31 tickets(that I could see) yet to be cooked hanging up, and I thought things were about to get ugly between those 31 customers and the employees. Some things I could have done with my life instead of standing in front of their food truck for 1 hour, 22 minutes: 1) Watch Toy Story, or Run, Lola, Run, or any other film on this list (because let’s be honest, I’m not going to watch the credits sequence!) We all know I’d likely have watched The Nightmare Before Christmas for the 8,000th time(b/c Sally makes me want to be a better Jack;) 2) Got my teeth cleaned by a cute dental hygienist, paid my bill and driven home. This is because dentists completely understand the time value of money, and get their customers in and out, turning their chairs just like restaurants turn their tables, quickly AND profitably. 3) Renewed my license at the dreaded DMV. I know, I know what you’re saying, but I really think that I could’ve easily gotten this done before I actually got any food from this food truck, even with the required DMV paperwork. 4) Written this review five times and fixed myself a sandwich, because it took about 15 minutes to write, which is about how long I expect to wait at a popular food truck… I’m not trashing Cuzzo’s cuisine, at all. Quite the contrary, they turned out some food that SMELLED amazing, and handed it to some first angry, then relieved looking customers. After waiting 1 hour, 22 minutes just to place an order, I just couldn’t. So, in a different world, where time is infinite, I would have ordered 2 lobster Mac n Cheeses, shrimp tacos, pineapple jerk chicken and chicken and red velvet waffles for the table of friends patiently waiting to try the«world famous lobster Mac n cheese.» That, coincidentally, would have been $ 53.00. Or, enough to take a big family to see Toy Story when it came out in 1995. And get nachos!

Cuzzo’s is one of my favorite food trucks in Charlotte! The lobster mac and cheese is to die for. The line is crazy at food truck friday, but I’ve been a few times at other locations. The chef and his cousin(the girl taking orders) are very friendly and love that you love their food. They’re very interactive on social media, which is cool and shows they appreciate your business. There is an option where you can text/call ahead to order, which will save you some wait time, especially for the items that take a while to cook. You have to wait in line for a popular food truck and waiting for your food means they’re cooking it fresh, can’t complain about that. I’ve noticed the lobster mac is usually the faster option since they make batches of it at a time. Sometimes it’ll take a little bit of time when they need to cook a new batch, but that just means you get a freshly made mac and cheese. All of the food is perfectly flavored and the menu has so many great options, so you can never go wrong.

Waited in line for over an hour to get some lobster mac and cheese. Now, I am a real foodie, especially when it comes to italian and seafood. This mac and cheese was WAY too peppery and had very little amount of meat in it. What an incredible disapointment to not only wait an hr for this realloy sup par dish but to also pay $ 10 for 60cents worth of lobster meat. This was either a horribly wrong dish or this truck is just another way too talked up spot to eat.

I came to their location last week at prosperity place off of mallard creek. My sister and I ordered Cajun Shrimp and Fries. There was no line, food was cooked in about 15 minutes. We paid $ 25.00 total for the 2 plates, a bottle of warm water and a pink lemonade which was kinda crazy for food truck food. So I think he should bring his prices down a bit but none the less the food was great! I will be back

Just ordered food from the truck outside NoDa Brewery and could not be more disappointed. Waited 30+ minutes on a very empty stomach. Ordered the Red Velvet chicken and waffles. Waffle was soggy and red was food coloring, not a traditional red velvet. «Chicken» was 3 scrawny chicken wings that were very dry and flavorless. Syrup ice old. Thankfully my friends ordered the lobster mac n cheese so I could have some bites and not go starving. That’s what the one star is for. And for the lady taking orders. She was nice.
