Citi Cleaners

CITI cleaners is not a bad cleaners mainly all the cleaning is outsourced so clothes have always been nicely pressed and cleaned — I just had issues with store hours and even when arriving on time store would not be open right in accordance with time. It’s great place if say you are a student at JWU. But I’m Business and don’t like standing waiting or walking up to locked doors 5 times in a row only to haul laundry to my office or back to my car. Or even if you are stepping out for 1 minute down the street you leave a note on the door «will be back in 2 min» — again after 5 times of locked doors I’ll be taking my business somewhere else. But this might be a great store for JWU students.

I normally shy away from giving bad reviews but these people are just incompetent. I was a loyal customer for 2 years until today and will frankly, never be back.
Many times I would come to pick my clothes up during regular business hours, and they would be closed… no sign, no explanation. Sometimes I would come by days after dropping my stuff off and only half of my things would be ready forcing me to come by multiple times. Through all of the inconvenience, I still had them launder my things bc I thought I was supporting a family business. However, the story’s not over.
I asked them to repair a hole in my short which they charged me for. They then returned the shirt with the same hole. When I brought it back and asked them to correct this issue, they insisted on charging me again AND for twice the price they had charged the first time. What?! I also brought them back a white shirt with a CLEAR iron burn on it and asked to be compensated for the damage. I was scoffed at by a completely apathetic guy as he told me it was probably my own blood. No dude, you’re just an idiot.
You can go one block down to Gateway Cleaners and deal with friendly, competent Asians… or you can come here where the actual customers are an afterthought. Pretty easy call.

Employee seemed less than interested in attending to my order & more interested in finishing his cigarette out front. Clothes weren’t pressed correctly & they’re a bit pricey. On a positive note, they didn’t lose any of my items…

I would not recommend this cleaner. The employee who worked there for years left and they haven’t found a professional replacement. They lost two articles of clothing and damaged one of my oxfords. I will not be returning anytime soon. The last time I was in there the employee was sleeping in the back. I would recommend going to the cleaners around the corner (Gateway Cleaners).

Gateway Cleaners (my normal spot) was closed the other day, so I took a suit and some other shirts here, which is right down the street. Normally I don’t abandon my neighborhood or go-​to spot, but in this case I had to, and the results were actually good. In fact, a local friend prefers this place to Gateway, for what it’s worth.
Again, though: so long as my clothes aren’t lost or damaged (and they weren’t), I’m happy. Throw in that the woman behind the counter was super sweet, and I’m an extra happy camper.
