Most convenient gas station to my house. Friendly staff. Good gas prices. Always stocked up with everything.

Easy to get in and out of on busy Independence at Farmingdale/Glendorra. There is no left turning light, but it doesn’t usually take long to find a gap to go across from the Southbound side.(except maybe a.m. rush hour) The coffee station is well-stocked with several different coffees & coffee beverage machines as well as plenty of flavors & creams. It is very neat & clean. The hot dogs weren’t that great, not very juicy or flavorful, just salty. I haven’t tried other food there, but they do have fresh fruit & pre-made sandwiches as well as a standard assortment of convenience store choices. The staff is always smiling and helpful which is really nice in a convenience store setting. I think I would be a little cautious at night there, but during the day it seems fine.

This gas station is relatively convenient — if you are headed towards Uptown. If you are instead going towards Matthews it can be a bit more difficult to get into, to say nothing of leaving. Pricing is good, and like most stations, they are in line with most others, though there is usually someone a touch cheaper(usually someone a touch more expensive too — these days it is probably not worth driving to save a penny a gallon). This stretch of Independence has a fair share of gas stations, but not a lot on the inbound side — there is one back at Idlewild, and another at Folger, but other than that it is slim pickings except for back into Matthews — you have to look at the other side of the road if you want many more options. Perhaps most importantly, this is the last chance for gas as you are about to hit the quasi-freeway-ized Independence. Once that is extended, you may not even have this option. The pumps work well, which is really the important part. Unless they do not, which is a challenge, because usually a station will hang a bright yellow bag or at least a disposable grocery out so you know not to pull up to that pump. Here? Yellow sticky note on the«pay at the pump» pad, which you do not generally see until you are settled in, out of the car and getting ready to pay — maybe even opening up your own gas tank. For that reason, look closely before you get out. Or think about it before you get to this point and go somewhere with one of those bright yellow bags on the handles.
