It’s time for another check up to measure the level of medication in my system. Even though the nurse that I initially spoke to made the appointment for 8am, the telephonic confirmation told me that the appointment was now for 0815. It’s now 0840 and I have yet to be deposited in an examination room. So now it’s 0900 and I’ve finally made it back to an examination room. Sees stupid that I had to sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes. Well the doctor and I chatted for 30 minutes about the general state of my health. He recommended a general medical doctor for me on the floor above his practice. I may skip that. I’m running out of time before I have to go to work. Whatever happened to an hour long doctor appointment? Now they want me to spend the entire morning with them. I actually have things that I need to do today not hang out in their waiting room. So I’m now in another waiting room to have blood drawn and to have a cortisol test. Whoopie! Hmm… why is it that you arrive well before your scheduled appointment and the next 15 people behind you get served before you? They tend to do a lot of that here. Well now I’ve had blood drawn and I’m back to sitting in the waiting room for the next hour with two additional blood draws. Sigh… I just spoke to a couple that had the same sort of run around that I’ve experienced today. Now I don’t feel special. Pout. All in all I was there for 3 hours.
