I have been going to Lori Hulshof for waxing and facials for 4 years now and she is amazing! My skin always has such a beautiful glow after a facial with her. She stays up to date on new techniques and new products and always lets me know when she has something new that will be beneficial for my skin concerns. I highly recommend her for all of your skin care needs.

Cameron is the best of the best. Have been going to him for 5 years. He is fantastic. A true artist and a perfectionist. A wonderful person, too.

I’ve been here for the past 6 – 7 years and I have never ever been disappointed with a single haircut I’ve received. I’ve been going to the same hairstylist. If you ever go to this place, I highly recommend Brandi Stokes. I remember when I was first with her, she used to charge around $ 40 for a haircut but now she charges around $ 70 due to additional training. To me it doesn’t really matter because she by far gives the best haircuts around the Charlotte area. I now live in the triangle area but travel to Charlotte just for a haircut done by her. Great customer service at the desk and at the salon area!

Went here in desperation when my stylist fell off the face of the earth. She was nice enough but my color is simply awful, it looks like the worst box job and the cut isn’t even, she didn’t blow it out or style my hair in any way. I also had to sit with a wet head for about fifteen minutes while she finished another appointment. I think these are mainly kids out of beauty school who really have no clue how to deliver a high end salon experience. The other thing is apparently their water is either scalding or freezing — your choice.

I’ve been getting my hair cut regularly at Carmen Carmen Belk(CCB) since 2009. Back then, I had long hair and found myself ready for a huge change. I got an appointment with Cameron just by the luck of the draw. He gave me an awesome pixie cut. Four years later, I’m still going to him. I was just there today, and the visit was great as usual. Cameron is, as Mimi N. mentioned earlier this year, wonderfully talented and super sweet. I can be having a bad day, and after sitting in his chair for 45 min, I leave with a smile. I trust him, and so I let him experiment a bit within very general, broad guidelines. I’m always happy with the results. The salon, itself, is pretty nice. It’s not the chicest place on earth, but I don’t really care about that. The people who work at the front desk are efficient, effective, and usually very nice. It’s an Aveda Salon, and I usually find their standards to be quite high. CCB exceeds the standards.

Since my usual hair stylist moved away, I’ve been on a quest to find a new hairstylist. So yesterday I went to Carmen Carmen, because they needed models, so I thought«Sure! Who wouldn’t want free haircuts!». Well ladies and gentlemen, I have founded my new hairstylist! In the beginning I was kind of worry because I thought the hairstylists were newbie, but dang I was wrong! Cameron(my new hairstylist) have been doing hair for 6 years! Holy Zeus! He explained to me that they needed models because Carmen(yes, Carmen, as the owner of Carmen Carmen) was coming to show new trends and technique. Since I’m a easy gal, I told Cameron that I just want my hair to look cool, and be able to tie it up when I need to, after Cameron and Carmen discussion on the hairstyle that would suit with my personality, which Carmen describes me as energetic and fun. Cameron gave me the best, and I do mean THE best, haircut, and with the help of Carmen, they made my look chic and awesome! Overall, Carmen Carmen salon is clean and modern, so both gender feels welcome. Carmen is an awesome owner that makes you feel fabulous or in italian, bellisimo! And I really like how they stay on trend! Cameron is so sweet too! And he’s really talented. So I’m definitely coming back to get my hair done by Cameron again.

My friend and I travel once a year to have a shop fest in Charlotte. We live 5 hours from there, but it’s been our tradition. Anyhow, we always go to C and C for a color/cut from Josh, the very talented and fun stylist there. He always does a superior job. A real treat. Love it there!

After months of complimenting a co-worker on her gorgeous, bouncy, supermodel hair, she gave me the name of her hair stylist, Josh, and sent me an email with his contact information, subject title: «Most Awesome Hair Guy Ever.» I knew this was going to be good. First off, know there are a BUNCH of Carmen Carmen salons. My friends went to the one in Asheville, but when she moved here about 6 years ago or so, she’s seen Josh and never deviated, and for good reason. The salon itself is on the 4th floor of Belk. It’s a bit dated and not the freshest, but all that will dissolve away in time. Josh is one of the head stylists who trains all the other stylists. He’s been in the business for a very long time, and took extreme care of my hair. My ‘do was in need of some freshening up. I had previously gone to a very sweet, nice young woman whose cut costs $ 40. A bunch of people I work with go to her, and she did a good job. However… over the past few months, we realized her cuts were getting really choppy, and didn’t blend well despite constant requests to smooth things out. My hair would be gorgeous the first three days, then somehow turn into a Florence Henderson mullet shape. No, I called it Jane Velez Mitchell. Google it, you’ll see why. Anyway, I needed Josh to fix it. He never dissed my monstrosity, just suggested we go shorter to avoid a flip-out cowlick, and do some major blending. Hs work was immaculate. He washed and dried it, saw how it worked when dry, and went from there. Previous short haircuts made me look like Dora the Explorer… but this creation was shiny and smooth and bouncy… just perfect! Josh also showed me how to style and recreate it again at home. By the end of the cut, there was no sign of my old mullet to be had. The personal attention is awesome. He said if I have a problem or need a trim to just text him to schedule a time. The ladies at the front desk are also very friendly and genuine. Not like a different popular salon in Charlotte that shall-not-be-named. Don’t get me wrong. This cut is $ 120 for the initial, and then I forgot maybe $ 90 for the subsequent cuts.(I think if you tell him Dion sent you you’ll get a discount… or something.) but you genuinely get what you pay for. Super treatment, no crazy product pushing, a nice head massage, and bottom line, a guy who really, really knows how to cut hair. Enjoy feeling fabulous!
