I hadn’t skated in almost ten years when I went into Armada. I didn’t know what kind of board I wanted. Pat and I talked about the kind of skating I wanted to do and what deck would best fit my style. After 20 minutes of discussion I left with a nickel board and have been enjoying it. Great shop, good selection, and super knowledgable staff.

Look for the Diamond(Brand) Sign! The SIZE is a BIG part of the Charm of this small store! Something about the Buzzzzzz in this place(Hornets Cap) Writing this review on the day the New Orleans should announce the New name for their Pro Basketball Team(Pelicans — it has significance)! The Address is correct, though the Map is way off!!! Think Corner of Common Wealth and the Plaza! First Draw for me is the Clothes! ! ! The Shoes(Here are some serious ones) Jeans(some Road Rash Protection)! T-shits, some COOL Tees here I have not seen anywhere else and some great looking(not too flashy more subdued) warmer shirts(with Collars {not Hoodies}) not goodies… My Wife said this place reminded her of Mack Brock, I looked puzzled and she said she guessed because of the Hats, and maybe clothes, since I do not wear hats like that! Street Art is part of the Culture as with clothes, language and _____… Little Street Art Found here — Hey Owner Dude, maybe you could get a little more ART on part of a wall(a little more than you have now) it would be nice… You could probably find a few«Street Artists» to let you show and sell for a commission some cool Art that would go well with the shop… Sorry I do not have names, I bet you know some… That’s My Idea! Board Design has EVOLVEDMUCHFROMTHE70’s my first Board was short, skinny and and almost no flex, plus there is much more variety in Boards today… and the Art — Back in my day if you wanted Art on your Board YOU put it there, so most Boards looked awful! Today Boards are colorful and cool to look at and ride!
