Alfred at Cre8tive Cupcakes was an absolute pleasure to work with! The cupcakes are delicious (I think they were even better on our wedding day than the tasting day). We booked them at our tasting and had no worries. He contacted us the week of the wedding with a few questions that would help him make the display fit our theme. He took it from there and it looked amazing. The service was polite, appreciative, and top notch! We didn’t have to worry about a thing-​they took care of everything cake/​cupcake related! If you want delicious cupcakes and cakes, with minimal stress and for competitive prices, Crea8tive Cupcakes is the way to go!

These might be the best cupcakes I’ve ever had in my life. The cake is moist and baked to perfection and the frosting is the perfect amount of sweetness. That being said, my husband and I hired Alfred and his team to make cupcakes for our wedding reception. He was super easy to work with and carried out our vision to a T. The setup looked amazing and we received tons of compliments. Not to mention all the cupcakes disappeared. Do yourself a favor and get the ‘Death by Chocolate’ and ‘Strawberry Shortcake’.

Delicious cup cakes could have just ate the frosting alone. Cinnamon roll huge and good. Latte was great also. Would have been great if there was more indoor setting but not everyone sits inside to enjoy a coffee or cupcake with the beautiful view outside.

Unilocal and the web site said they were open, but every time we went (several days at various times) they were closed. We went to Johanns instead. Definitely call before getting your taste buds set for the yummy cupcakes all the other reviewers described.

Nobody here at noon? Seemed to be out of many items. Blueberry muffin was ok. Latte was good. Think we’ll try another place tomorrow.

My family and I stayed in torch lake for the week, but after having great coffee and to quote my wife, «the best lemon poppyseed muffin ever», one morning in Charlevoix, we decided to make a special trip here every morning to try out something new. Everything was fantastic, from blueberry scones and muffins to the world class cupcakes. If nothing else, you’ve got to indulge in the death by chocolate cupcake that has a thousand kinds of chocolate packed into the most amazing treat you’ll have on your vacation. Take my word for it. My girlfriend and I we making a trip from Traverse City to Mackinaw Island and we needed to grab some coffee mid trip. After Unilocaling the area, we decided to make the stop at Cre8tive Cupcake and were happy we did. Although it was a bit early for a cupcake, we decided to grab a cherry muffin and a blueberry scone, to go along with our coffees. The owner informed us that the pastries are made from scratch each morning, and my taste buds agreed. We’ll definitely be making the trip back the next time we are in the area.

Alfred and his staff are amazing! They serve Higher Ground coffee. And have you ever had a breakfast sandwich on a savory scone? It’s worth the stop.

Absolutely excellent bakery and now they have added breakfast and lunch items as well. Alfred works his tail off to make sure that everything is fresh and fantastic. I’m currently addicted to the Cheddar/​Jalapeño savory scone!
Cupcakes are also fantastic — Red Velvet and Death by Chocolate are my favorites– and the chewy Chocolate Crinkle cookies are excellent. Always soft and delicious and only a $ 1. Nice seating areas as well, although I haven’t utilized that since i always get to go!
His winter hours are consistent as heck too which isn’t normal this far north. Like I said, he works his butt off.
Serves Higher Grounds coffees and does espresso drinks as well. Great little place that has a totally involved owner/​manager!

Fabulous cupcakes. We had death by chocolate. Wonderful loose teas. I had cherry with roses. Breakfast the next day quiche was yummy. All of the servers were friendly and helpful.

My friend and I just stopped in here and both agreed these were the best cupcakes we’ve ever had.
The shop itself is very cheerful and welcoming and the employees were very friendly and knowledgeable.
The cupcakes themselves were moist and delicious but their frostings are what set them apart. I would come back here anytime!

Charlevoix has a new lil sweet gem. Only open I believe 4 months and they are making the best blueberry scones loaded with blueberries and not overly sweet. Oh why did I just buy one? I should of treated myself to the raspberry scone also which I believe had white chocolate macadamia nuts. I couldn’t leave without buying a yummy cookie also. This place is dangerously good!
I noticed a variety of cupcakes and even one called chocolate chocolate chip. They also are making seasonal specialty scones for the fall now. They have daily cupcake specials and a variety of cookies. Some quite large in size.
They carry expresso and a variety of coffees. Don’t forget to do your Unilocal check in for a free large brewed coffee. I was unaware because I didn’t realize at first they spelled their name Cre8tive Cupcakes.
The ladies were very friendly and cater to parties, birthdays and even make wedding cakes.
I sure would love to have another blueberry scone right now! They were open till 9pm when I went also. Not sure if they’ll stay open that late in the winter. Definitely worth a visit!

Came here with my 3 kids. We had the chocolate chocolate chip muffin, and the Northern Michigan cherry muffin. They were absolutely delicious! My kids said they are the best muffins they’ve ever had, and insisted on coming back every day the rest of our trip!
My wife enjoyed her latte with almond milk!

Had the Cookies & Cream. It was amazing! I’m an Oreo/​Cookies & Cream professional lol the frosting was perfect and the chocolate cake was SO good. It didn’t have that gross cream cheese filling like some places do– which was great! Definitely will be going back!

The pecan log cupcake tasted exactly like a pecan roll. Amazing, moist, flavorful, beautiful cupcakes! Yumm-​o! They also do cakes and cookies. Definitely stop in if you’re in the area, their cupcakes are top-​notch!

Very good cupcakes. Had the red velvet and chocolate. Very tender cake, icing was good. Darling interior, parking’s a bitch but you might get lucky. Cute place for grandkuds, girlfriends or daughters. Skip it for men in your life with little tolerance for sweet… they’ll walk in and drop over.

I had the strawberry shortcake cupcake, and it was amazing! The cake was perfectly moist all the way through, and the frosting was just the way I like it — fluffy, not too sweet, and with really good flavor. Delicious!
