Louis W Mian

Chris Mian and company were just absolutely phenomenal. I gave them an incredibly obscure order working with a new materials that was about 6 months old when we started the project and the results were flawless. Their staff shows up every time at the time they say they are going to be there without fail.
If you have a high end material granite counter top or any other kind of project you can think of, then make Louis Mian one of your first stops. I can think of no higher praise then to tell you all that a licensed GC (general contractor) in Massachusetts choose them for his personal work.

Louis Mian will forever be our go-​to for kitchens and bathrooms! Mian’s service, craftsmanship, and quality are the reason I am taking the time to write this review, all of which are outstanding. A friend recommended them and after walking into the showroom, we immediately felt at ease. We had our kitchen countertops replaced with quartz — selecting the right stone was difficult because of the great selection but we found the perfect stone for us. We were given a great price, including template, fabrication and installation. Jon Mian and his team were thorough, patient, and respectful of our time and home throughout the entire process. The installation team was remarkable and efficient! They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. I never thought our countertops could look so beautiful! Louis Mian earned our trust and loyalty.

I have used Louis Mian for a long time, most recently for some smaller pieces in a new place. They love their work, and it shows in what they do for you. Their templates are carefully done, so things fit — there is attention to detail in how counters go together, in the edge work. And they have a great selection of stone, so many wonderful pieces to choose from. And don’t forget to say hello to Merlin, the darling dog in residence.

My girlfriend and I recently remodeled our bathroom and we thought a marble counter top would look awesome. We saw a Groupon for Louis Mian that we thought was a great deal so we bought it.
Both my girlfriend and I have extremely hectic work schedules, and Jon could not have been more accommodating. He met with us in his show room to begin talking to us about marble LONG AFTER there regularly scheduled hours. We liked Jon so much after this initial meeting, and his pricing was so competitive, that we decided to also update our counter tops in the kitchen.
The end result is magnificent, and I could not be more happy to offer him my highest recommendation for both customer service and craftsmanship.
One other small thing to note that we didn’t originally think about as it is sort of intangible. When you are remodeling a part of your home, you are inviting all sorts of people over to be there while you are not. I trust the Jon and his very professional team to respect my home, and you should to.

By total kismet, my husband and I called for an appointment to Mian the day before their annual sale. We got there by late morning today and although it was tricky to find (google map in advance), we were greeted by cheerful balloons, free coffee, munchkins, soda, and juice, a barbecue being fired up for later in the day, and the Mian brothers (and their dad) eager to serve us. A good variety of high quality granite and marble slabs were stacked up in their outdoor space, ready for ample browsing. There were pieces in larger shapes as well as smaller remnants. Perfect for a big job, like ours (total home renovation including kitchen countertops) or a smaller project (affordable cut pieces such as a powder room vanity). I am no expert but I know what I like. We purchased a gorgeous remnant («Costa Smeralda” – the name makes me think of a dip in the turquoise Mediterranean Sea; the color of this granite is a beautiful subtle greenish blue) at a very good price and also a «last of the litter» of a quantity of beautiful granite tiles for our new mud room (also well priced). Chris Mian was helpful, ordered up the fork lift needed to move our piece around, and took care to help us walk through the yard as we looked around, figure out the finer points of measurements, templates, and all those important extras. He was honest about the fact that we’d save money by having our builder install the final product. That seemed honorable to us, as he could’ve swayed us another way. The guys helped us load the stuff into our truck (saves us delivery fees) and were truly polite and grateful for our business. The only thing I’d note, as others have, is that their «style» is a bit relaxed (it took time for them to coordinate our checking out, as they were a bit short staffed) but our sense was that they make up for that in the final product. We have yet to have them cut our stone, so perhaps we’ll update again then. Also, they were very kind and gave us several samples to take back and match with our new cabinets. Overall, we highly recommend Mian – we had a really positive experience there.

We had our kitchen countertops replaced with granite from Louis Mian. We purchased a granite countertop piece at the annual remnant sale. We got a great price, including template, fabrication & installation. We worked with Jon Mian who was thorough, very patient, and accommodating. The gentleman who did my templates and installation was also thorough and precise. We’re looking forward to working with them again for our bathroom vanity.

I found them online and found it hard to reach them at first on the phone. But when I finally made contact with Jon, one of the sons in this family business, he couldn’t have been more awesome. They were crazy patient with me as I went through a slew of marble slabs and worked hard to be sure I would be happy with the finished product. These guys really care about doing quality work. My marble countertop is really gorgeous.
They have a warehouse in Roxbury where you can look at stone, but also you can just use them as your fabricator if you find granite or marble at one of the huge dealers, like Boston Granite Exchange, which sell stone but don’t fabricate the counters.
