I only recently re-​discovered Charlestown Wine & Spirits in the past 6 months and wish I had found it sooner. I must say, the wine and beer selection here is top notch! I have found quite a few great wines at great prices here by trying the «managers specials» around the store. The rare beer selection is also quite good. Don’t miss this place!

We have been visiting this store with each of our summer stays for 10 years. The renovated modern, spacious store is a huge change from the small package store that was on the same lot.
While the selection is great and the artisan cheese offerings are always delicious, the staff can appear less than welcoming. After previous visits, we thought there was a need for «dealing with diversity» or basic «customer service» training. It wasn’t clear if the cold shoulder was related to discomfort with minorities (small talk seems to come easy with other patrons) or an acceptable annoyance with out-​of-​towners. We keep going back, with hopes for improvement and are conflicted each time — we enjoy supporting and promoting local businesses but shouldn’t have to feel put off doing so.

This place is super clean, very helpful and has a really nice selection of wines and beers. I’m very happy and kind of awestruck when I go in because of how nice it is. Great business that will get my business for a long time.

I think this might be the only liquor store in Charlestown & it’s now one of my favorites.
I have been impressed with their beer selection! They have the selection & variety of most larger stores especially with craft beers & bombers. Plus, they have Berkshire Brewing Company growlers which bumped them up to 5 stars for me.
They have a beautiful & new building which is easy to navigate. Plus the staff are helpful if you need a suggestion or can’t find what you’re looking for. They have tastings & events throughout the year, check out their website for more information.
