The Home Depot

I’m usually a Lowes girl, but my Mom has a rental property here in Mt. Pleasant and needed to get some new kitchen and bathroom cabinets and found some she liked on Home Depot’s website. After checking online and making sure they had stock of the cabinets she was interested in, we drove to Home Depot to look at them in person. Turns out, they don’t have them in stock. So we looked at some other ones they had on display and found another contender. Nope, none is stock. So we left empty-​handed.
And I’ll say apparently this problem (online stock not matching what they have in-​store) seems to be an issue at other Home Depots since the exact same thing happened to her in Atlanta before she made the trip here. An employee even told her they are notorious for this happening.
Moral of the story: call the store and get them to confirm before driving out.

Typical Home Depot… enough said.

I’ve shopped at Home Depot three times in the last week and a half. I was only going to update paint color on one piece of furniture w/​chalk paint. Ending up striping a lowboy w/​three drawers and an in-​pieces chair belonging to a friend! Super helpful! There are enviro-​safe paint striper and mineral spirits!!!
I’d say for customer service/​price they are a favorite shopping trip lol

I am always greeted at the door, and always asked if I need any help when I cruise this hardware store.
The people working here are super friendly and helpful.
Free wifi lets me check in on Unilocal!and check stock of items I’m shopping for. Cool!
It is located on a busy street (Mall Drive), so take care exiting.
Lowes is across the street… waive, to let them know you got better service at Home Depot.

It’s always a great place to go and get the stuff you need, but the service is extremely slow at the customer counter. So if you plan to rent a Penske truck from them, it’ll take half an hour to get it and half an hour to return it. Friendly people, but they just don’t move with a purpose it seems.

Since becoming a single woman homeowner almost 8 years ago I’ve been blessed to have this Home Depot near where I reside. Lowes is across the street, but unless I absolutely cannot get what I need at Home Depot I would not go there due to lack of customer service over there.
At Home Depot I’m usually greeted when I enter and notified of any sales ads they might have. If I can’t locate something someone is always around to show me exactly where it is. There is a button in each department to push if you need service
They have even gone as far as to tell me how to do things and what tools I would need to do the job. I moved my fridge once and nicked my vynl floor. A guy there told me how to repair it and what adhesive and sealer to use.
I’ve bought and had flooring installed by them and all contractors they sent out to measure and install were clean-​cut and professional.
The lady in the paint department is great. You can bring your color code from Lowes or Sherwin Williams paint and they can match it up to their lower priced paint colors and give you a small sample to try it for a few bucks. There are also «mistake» paints and samples for sale for as low as $ 1 in one area.
I’ve gotten wood scraps from them for small projects like putting a board under your couch cushions for a $ 1 in their wood department.
The only time I’ve had to resort to Lowes was for getting new bathroom faucets installed. They didn’t do faucet installations.
Otherwise, I buy all my home hardware and lawn care items from Home Depot.
I’ve bought cheap lawncare equipment from Walmart and they didn’t last one season.
I’m still using my Black and Decker weedeater I got from Home Depot 7 years ago.
The quality of products, selection both in-​store and online, combined with excellent customer service makes this store a winner!
You can use self-​checkout or a cashier to check out. Someone is always around to ask if you need help with anything you buy and to help carry items to your car if needed. Home ownership for an older single woman is a challenging role. I appreciate this Home Depot so much for making my life easier so many times!
