Yum, yum, yum! I won a gift card that could be used at any of the Charleston Hospitality Groups several restaurant locations. I chose Tabbuli because it is relatively close to my office and I knew they had limited parking so grabbing a to-go order wouldn’t be a problem on my lunch break. Boy am I glad I did! I had the gyro and Jerusalem salad — the gyro reminded me so much of the gyros I grew up eating back home outside Chicago. The order was hot and ready in a timely fashion. Price was GREAT and you get more than enough food. I can’t wait to take my husband, we’ve been searching for a good gyro spot!

This Tabbuli was sooooo great!!! This was my first experience in a Hookah bar, we tried this out after the Black a fedora Comedy Theater which too was AMAZING! We had the«magic carpet» flavored tobacco Hookah experience. This was my 1st time and our waiter(sorry I can’t remember his name) so great and explaining the whole procedure and checking on us. And the mango tequila shots so good and the lemon drop shots all the way(everything already in it) were the best lemon drops ever!!! Just so much fun, the place was inviting and the music was fresh, current and lively. They do charge a cover charge, I’m going to try the West Ashley spot next time! We are definitely putting this on our list as a regular spot! The lamb gyro with fries was so nice and u could taste the freshness.

Came here on the recommendation of a family friend who has been living in Charleston for about 3 years now. Before my visit here, I had driven by on several occasions at various times during the day– each time, whether it was in the morning, noon, or around dinner time, the place was always packed. I knew I had to check it out. When my family came into town to visit me for the holidays, they brought their sweet puppy with them. I made sure that we planned to eat lunch at Tabbuli because they are dog-friendly. When we got there, there were already two other people with their dogs. Our waiter was extremely attentive, not only to us humans, but also to our dog. He always made sure that everyone– including the pup– had enough water. He made us feel so comfortable and welcomed– as if we were old friends. It was such a pleasant experience. Getting our bill took a little longer than expected, but we were so happy from our delicious meal, that we barely even noticed. Now for the food. Oh my god. The food. The food was amazing. I want to eat this food every day. I got the lamb gyro with fries. The gyro was loaded with meat and veggies, and wonderful flavor. Initially it didn’t look like a lot of food, but once we finished eating, we were all stuffed. You definitely get your money’s worth. I will make it a point to stop here the next time I am in Charleston.

A nice Mediterranean restaurant off of Market Street, Tabbuli will not disappoint. They have a good selection of appetizers, salads, and entrees. My wife and I got hummus to start and I had the gyro with lamb while she got a chicken pita for entrees. The gyro was very good, especially with the addition of feta cheese on top. The gyro was loaded with meat and vegetables, and certainly filled me up. My wife’s pita was also very good. Overall we had a great experience. One thing to note is that you can smoke hookah before or after you eat, or while you sit down and enjoy a drink. Highly recommended.

Good restaurant. Ambience was good with good music and lighting. It’s a hookah bar. Food was tasty. Kareem served us and he took very good care of us. Will visit again.

I decided to go to Tabbuli because of the wonderful food and service I had received from a Unilocal Elite event the night before over in West Ashley. So there you go! Your efforts are already paying off. It was nice to see some of the same server faces I had just seen the night before. For lunch I ordered the Kofta burger with fries. For me, it was just ok. My biggest problem was that I felt like the burger meat was much smaller than the bun. The bun practically swallowed the burger meat. Also, the picture on the website made it look juicier than what it actually arrived to my table as. Of course I ate it anyway. To my surprise, the bun the burger came on was tasty. It wasn’t dried out or bland like most grocery store buns are. Finally, our server was pretty cool. A very sweet and attentive young lady. On the table was a list of their happy hour specials; so I’ll be back to try them out. Your review helps others learn about great local businesses.

Wether visiting or local this is THE place to be. This vibe packed Mediterranean grill hookah bar combo is everything you need to take your Saturday night to the next level! Amazing customer service and crazy friendly staff. Not to mention great music and live Dj’s! My only complaint is that this app won’t let me put more stars!!!

Worst customer service ever! The staff are unprofessional and rude. The food was DISGUSTING!!! The drinks are watered down and over priced. The bathrooms have pee all over the place. Even the manager is a slob and awful to deal with. I won’t ever go back. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Food was good and fast but the service was mediocre. I was seated at dusty dirty table and I understand it was outside on the patio but it wasn’t cleaned for me. I asked about any specials and she was like«kind of, we have these brunch items» and then when I asked her the difference between the 2 Benedict offerings she did not actually describe them well but I ordered one and it was tasty.

Stayed in Charleston overnight at the Harbourview Inn. Great hotel but dissapointed that they were clueless when I asked for recommendations of vegan-friendly restaurants. Found Tabbuli on our own and it was only a few blocks away. The staff at Tabbuli were fantastic! The food was fabulous!!! Had the Mediterranean Dip with no cheese. Can’t wait to go back to Charleston to try other dishes at Tabbuli. Was so good that we stopped back the next day for take-out to eat on the way to the airport. LOVEIT! ALLTHUMBSUP!!!

Tasty Food; Adequate Service; Interesting Ambiance; Reasonable Value Stumbled upon this place whilst visiting Charleston. Buddy and I shared a combo appetizer and had a couple of beers. The appetizer consisted of baba ghanoush, hummus, and falafel. All of which were tasty, but came with only eight pita points. Charged two dollars for extras. I’d go back for sure.

Ate here last year and enjoyed it very much, but today,(Tuesday lunch), they didn’t have any lamb for gyros, which is the most common dish. A party of 5 ordered a hummus platter and got 8 small slices of pita, then we ordered more, took 15 min, and still wasn’t enough. Then we were charged for the extra pita to top it off. Whatever changes were made recently were disappointing. We won’t be back after this time.

I never had this kind of bad service in my life. The guy who waited our table was a jerk. Didn’t serve our food for 40 mins. When we got the food he just threw the food on the table and knocked over a glass of water. Didn’t even bother to clean it up. Worst service. After serving the food didn’t even bother to show up until we asked for a check. I would never ever recommend this to anybody.

Low quality food, at least the portions are small… Very slow service. 10 of us waited for 40 minutes to get our food, some portions had to be returned after not being prepared correctly. Will make sure to skip this restaurant next time we come to Charleston

FYI fellow Unilocalers… Market St Tabbuli does not accept Unilocal coupons/10 percent discounts unless it is printed. Lol… though it says just show it to the server.

I don’t think I’ll every be coming here again. The quality of service, food, cleanliness, and even atmosphere has gone down tremendously since they first opened. We arrived just before 6:00pm and were seated right away but even after we specified we had no interest in smoking we were sat next to a large group smoking the hookah. Deciding it wouldn’t be that big of inconvenience, we made no issue of it and sat down. It took nearly 10 minutes for our server to even come greet us and take our drink order. Concerned that it would be just as long to be checked on again we went ahead and put in an appetizer order for the Babagonoush. When the server came back to deliver our drinks we placed our order. About 10 minutes later the server returned to confirm what we had even ordered. He repeated our order back to us and had gotten my husbands order wrong! Note to servers: this is why you use a note pad. Having to confirm orders when you’ve already left the table does not sit well with any costumer. It took nearly a half hour to receive our appetizer and what a huge disappointment that was. We basically received a plate of cold pita bread with a small dollop of dip. Not worth the thirty minute wait or the money. One taste and that was the last straw. We decided to leave. I simple waved over another associate or possibly a manager I’m not even sure, and briefly explained that we were unsatisfied and were leaving. Thank goodness for other restaurant options up the street. We had a much better experience elsewhere.

My friend and I went here for a quick bite a few days ago. We were visiting Waterfront park, and it was really convenient because it’s only two blocks away(did not have to move the car), and we had a coupon. Both of us thought the food was pretty good. She had a gyro and fries, and I had the shrimp pita with fries. The fries are shoestring and thin, very good. You can tell they aren’t frozen bagged fries, and you get plenty of them with your meal. Our sandwiches weren’t overly huge, but they were the right size. The portions were great for two females who didn’t want leftovers. So, if you’re a really hungry guy, you definitely want to get some extras or an appetizer– or do the tapas thing and share food around the table. Service was okay. We had to wait on the server to come take our order and I actually had to motion for her to come over. All the dining areas are either on the patio or underneath a covered area, so if it’s chilly, keep that in mind. No completely indoor dining. The bathroom was freezing and a little seedy. All in all, Tabbuli’s not a bad place. I’d dine there again, but there are so many good options in Downtown Charleston, it’s hard to make return visits unless somewhere’s just exceptional. Really good for a quick, cheap, bite, though.
