I love this location, but it’s usually busy and the seating fills up fast. During an off time, like 10 or 3 its usually not as busy, If you want to use the wifi and get work done. However it is loud.

This is a decent sized Starbucks right on the side of the Francis Marion Hotel. I was there for a conference and the place was hopping but service was actually speedy (!) and the staff were super nice. A cozy location and PERFECT for the Charleston Conference!

I’m beginning to think that Starbucks coffee in general gives me indigestion, but I still like to study there. This one is nice because of the large communal table in the back. It’s the perfect height and I can spread out a little if I need to.

The drinks and food are always perfect and the baristas are very nice even at peak hours!

Having worked for Sbux before, I know just how stressful a high capacity store like this one can be, and I have to say the Baristas handle it with such class and always seem to be having a great time. They’re always friendly, will hold a conversation, and they make perfect drinks. Love stopping here whether I’m on my way to class or on my way to work, they’re my go to on the peninsula.

Manassas, VA
This is an interesting Starbucks because it serves two distinct audiences. First, it is part of the Francis Marion Hotel, and serves as the coffee fix for those staying at the hotel. But it is also close to the College of Charleston, and attracts students looking for a free Wi-​Fi spot to work and study with quick access to recaffeination. I stopped in there about 5PM on a Tuesday evening and nearly all of the seats were taken up by college gals getting ready for finals week.
I’ve stated in many of my Starbucks reviews that I feel that I share the popular opinion that they overroast their beans, but deserve the 3-​star A-​OK rating because they are consistent across the chain and deliver when there are no better options. So why do I give this Starbucks 4-​stars?
The answer is simple. Because most of those CofC girls are pretty darn cute!

Busy Starbucks in the Francis Marion Hotel. Pleasant, efficient staff. Sufficient seating. Clean. In other words, a Starbucks. Nice view of the park across the street.
