I actually worked at Radio Shack (not this one, but not far away) many years ago. It was almost cool, in a nerd sort of way, back then. Not sure exactly what happened, but the folks who work there now definitely don’t think that it’s in any way interesting to be there. They appear to think that customers are the bane of their very existence, and should you happen to come into the store, be warned — the staff is not useful in any way.
If you might find something you want, it’s likely because of your own ingenuity, and hope that you don’t need to ask for help, as you aren’t likely to get it. On the plus side, it means if you do find something, you won’t have to deal with the staff except to pay for your merchandise…
