The star system is limited as I need to add more stars to this establishment! Friendly, fantastic outdoor(very outdoor mind you) atmosphere, great music, sometimes blaring! What is more blaring is the quality of their food that you crave especially while walking around at night, or even very late night! Awesome Greek food that is very close to the real thing without having to import your prepared Gyros, or Souvlaki straight from Athens, Sparta or Thessaloniki! Now it has cute outdoor seating setup so you don’t have to be eating your Gyros in the car while you are texting how great it is! !

This place was awesome! We arrived to Charleston late night and wanted to eat at a nicer restaurant however we didn’t get out until 11:00pm and most places were no longer serving food. Our pedicab driver suggested this for us and we loved it. Everything was so fresh. The falafel was amazing. I highly recommend this place.

After a night of driving people around downtown, you work up quite an appetite, and Platia is always a sure bet. I’ve never ventured outside the gyros and kebabs, but why mess with perfection? Best Greek food in Charleston, and a great hidden gem. Headed there tonight!

Tried the Platia Food Truck today for lunch at an event, and it’s one of my new favorite food trucks. I’ve had my eye on it for awhile since seeing it at a food truck rodeo, and I finally had the chance to try it. I had the Greek Pirate Pita, which is the catch of the day(hallibut today), potatoes, garlic sauce, and lettuce. The fish was fried and crispy, and there was lots of it! I didn’t get any side items and didn’t need any because I was full from the pita. It was a little messy, but they put it in a box instead of just the wrapper, and I had plenty of napkins. There was fish in every bite, and although it took a few more minutes for me to get my pita, it was well worth the wait. I really liked the extensive menu of Platia. For a food truck, they offer a lot. You can get pitas or salad, as well as a few sides like souvlaki and fries. The pitas had a few french fries on them as well. They also have Greek yogurt with toppings for dessert and a few drink options. I’d love to try the Greek iced coffee next time. Definitely plan to «follow the truck» on Facebook and Twitter to see where they’ll be heading next.

Best Greek food I’ve had outside Greece! They came to Celadon in North Charleston today and I got the pork gyro and a frappé– absolutely delicious and authentic. The service was A+ too. Can’t wait to go back.

First time in Charleston, and I decided to ask one of the bartenders at the Belmont for a late night food recommendation. He sent me here. While I was initially skeptical, I left satisfied and happy. Do NOT leave without trying the falafel sandwich and/or the Hillybilly.

This food truck is the worst Greek/Mediterranean I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot. In fact I’ve been to Greece and Turkey and many areas across Europe where this style food is popular. Unfortunately I found this truck late one night and it was just terrible. Avoid.

Just had a meal at Platia food truck, and there’s no question that I will be back. One of it’s regular locations is on a quiet side street just around the corner from the hustle and bustle of King St, so it’s easy to find. The Greek music and the tables and chairs in front of the truck make you feel like you are in Greece. I had a chicken gyro– well portioned and delicious. Others who ate with me bragged about their souvlaki, village salad, and falafel. Everyone was pleased. I think I have found the perfect«go-to» spot. Follow them on Facebook to see where they’ll be. You’ll be glad you did.

Best Greek food I’ve had anywhere. They knocked my socks off with the lamb gyro and the fresh squeezed lemonade was so refreshing. They blare Mediterranean music on speakers outside of their truck — fantastic advertising. I swear at least a quarter of the people in the apartments they were parked in front of came down to get food from them simply because they were wondering where the music was coming from. Can’t wait to try the rest of the food on their menu. These guys have serious talent.

Fantastic! The pita was so good it almost didn’t need a thing. Hummus was delicious, and the chicken pita was the best I’ve had in a really long time. Thanks!

First day trying this unique and tasty food truck. I walk out of my office and feel as though I might be walking down around Athens. I see a big shiny food truck with a gorgeous mural of Greece on the side. The men inside are equally as gorgeous and look straight from the boat. The menu is expansive with varied main dishes, snacks, desserts, and drinks. I started with the hummus and sounds boring, but the pita wedges were seasones and griddle fried perfectly. Im so pleased with the greek yogurt choices! You get a fruit flavor or frusta fruit add in, nuts, chocolate, seeds, and so many healthy sweeteners like honey and granola. The cherry on top was the iced frappé. The barista told me they were out if simple syrup and I was the very first person to have a frappé sweetened with just honey. I don’t ever think I’ll get it any other way. I cant wait to have these guys back in my office park :)

My girlfriend and I had lunch at Platia on Folly Beach today. I’ve traveled to Greece before and this is as authentic as it gets! I had the lamb which was cooked perfectly and delicious. I highly recommend the Village Salad as an appetizer, this is something you see on every table in Greece, but is often forgotten here in favor of the typical«Greek Salad». The«Lord of the Fries Red» was also a favorite of ours. Im hoping to see these guys around the Charleston area for lunch soon.
