I went in to buy a gas grill. Not one person asked if I needed assistance tho several employees passed me by and when I tried to make eye contact, they averted their eyes. I finally caught up to one who seemed like he didn’t want to stop what he was doing. Once the purchasing process began, he «thawed out» a little and was actually helpful. The delivery guy called the day before delivery and said I was in the system for a morning delivery(I was never asked at time of purchase what time frame would be preferred). I said no one would be home until a certain time and after checking, he said that would be fine. The day of delivery, I got a call saying it would be delivered earlier than discussed. If I didn’t have a secure place for him to leave it, I wouldn’t have felt comfortable with it just being left. I used the grill right away(bought a full tank at Lowe’s). Grill worked perfectly.

I’ve been in this Lowe’s at least 10 times in the last 3 months by myself and no one has ever asked me if I needed help with anything. I went in once with my husband and an employee approached us quickly and asked if we needed help. That situation makes me feel like this Lowe’s location is full of sexist employees(or just lousy management) who assume a woman walking around a home improvement store alone will need way too much help for them to bother. Unfortunately this Lowe’s is in a convenient spot and I don’t always have time to go to Home Depot. If Home Depot was next door to this Lowe’s I’d go there. I have needed help locating items in this store and tried to find an employee but have been ignored when trying to get their attention. Thanks for nothing Lowe’s.

My wife and I bought a GE gas range last March from Lowes. We had to change it to LPG and had a professional outfit do the change over. The parts were supplied with the range. The range has not worked right since this was done. Lowes/GE has sent out repair people 6 times that can’t get the range fixed(a burner on the right side blows out when you try to light it and the other burner on the same side does not have the BTUs that it should have, the other burners on the left side work fine.) I have had to stay home from work each time someone is sent. The last 2 times I was told A&E, the repair people, were coming to fix it, once again, I was called by A&E and told they would be there soon and no one showed up! I had even given directions to one guy who did not show. I have been on the phone with Lowes for a total of over 6 hrs. with no fix in site. My advice to you is do not buy any thing from Lowes or GE that may not work … They do NOT stand by their products and I think that the only recourse I now have after 3 months of this is to take them to small claims court. You have been warned. The day after I posted this Lowe’s called and said that they/GE would replace the range. Coincidence, me thinks not! Yesterday I got an E-Mail saying that I was not getting the replacement range, these people have no idea what is going on!!!
