I have not been back to the salon/spa as I do not live in SC but the manager has contacted me to apologize for the experience. I have bumped the rating from before as customer service is everything and I am glad to know they take their business seriously.

Having just moved to the area, I was really nervous about finding a new hair salon. I read on Unilocal that this place was good, and a lot of people recommended Lacy. I went in a few days ago and she did a great job! She was precise, listened to what I wanted, and gave me a great haircut. I’ll be going back for highlights next week. Price wise, it wasn’t too bad. It was 58 for the haircut with blow dry and I got some hair product. Also I asked her to recommend something for me, at no time was anything pushed on me which I think is great too. Highly recommend and will be a regular customer of hers from here on out!

This is a great salon!!! I made a last minute appointment for a dye job while in town, and I felt kinda bad because I know most places want longer term clients and not a visitor. Well, they all provided great service in a clean and professional but comfortable salon. My girl(I’ll update this if I remember to call for her name!) gave a long consultation with me, inspecting my faded dark color on top of prior light highlights, and pulling samples out with me to ensure she would give me the shade I wanted. She was extremely patient and knowledgable about what would turn out duller vs redder, etc. Everything came out perfectly. She even wrote down the formula for me to take to my hometown salon. I’ve been to plenty of salons over the years, and this is perfect. I’ll be back in Chuck and will go back to this place! Highly recommend!!!

Love this place! While living in Charleston, I frequently got my hair done here by Lacy and was blown away by the results! Lacy does an incredible job, she is friendly, knowledgable and overall a great stylist! She did such a great job that people even thought that I was a natural blonde(I am far from it!) If I hadn’t moved away I would still go here. I would highly recommend both the salon and Lacy as a stylist to anyone looking for a good hair salon in downtown Charleston!

I was in desperate need of a dye job on my hair after I was given terrible highlights at a different location. I made an appointment for the same day and was looking forward to fixing my hair. I had Tara, who was very nice and seemed to know exactly what I wanted. I was told I would need corrective color to fix the previous work I had done. Tara ended up just dying over my previous color and not lifting any old color off or doing anything«corrective». In short, you can still see the orange highlights through my new hair color. Tara also ruined my favorite shirt by somehow getting dye down my back. After paying extra for a corrective hair color, I am still not completely pleased with my color and am upset that my shirt has hair dye all over it. I will not be going back to this location.

Linzie did an amazing job styling my hair for my wedding. I got many compliments on it. The make-up session was also a success. I could not have asked for a better beauty session before my big day. Thanks a million.

I visited this place when we were vacationing in Charleston. One, they put the board which says«Walk-ins Welcome» and two, its an Aveda salon. So, I went around 2.15pm and got an appointment for 3pm. which is fine. walked around the downtown and then was there by 3pm. so the lady says, your stylist will be right with you and walked me to a station. after that i just sat there and waited and waited. no one shows up. the front desk lady walks by me couple times but doesnt mention anything. may be she can .hey sorry you have to wait a little more. she is finishing up. nothing. i wait and wait and finally i go to her after 3.30. and then ask do I have to wait more. then she finally sends some one else. when i walked in first, they asked me where I am from. Since I told I am a tourist, they know I am not coming back, hence the service. may be.
One simple word: BEWARE! I was visiting my family in Charleston, SC and wanted to get my hair done before I returned to the city for law school. I had some very dull red in my hair and was hoping to start the process of returning to a golden blonde. I wanted a same day appointment and was thrilled when the owner/manager/whoever she was fit me into the schedule. She told me that I would be with Daisy, who was a little inexperienced with color but who would be supervised, and that they would look at my red and see what could be done. I thought that was fair. When I arrived, the manager and Daisy both examined my hair, saw that the red was very faded, and they assured me that the gold blonde picture I showed them was entirely possible. They asked how I wanted to achieve it, and I told them I wasn’t sure how to get to that result but that I wanted 1) to be golden blonde, 2) not to be orange, and 3) not to be striped like a skunk.(Chunks of trashy blonde highlights over dark hair). They both assured me that this would not be the case. FIVEHOURS and TWOHUNDREDTWENTYDOLLARSLATER I have the worst dye job I have ever sported, even worse than when my mother tried to highlight her hair myself when I was 15. Not only did I have to sit there for over 5 hours while Daisy did full-highlight foils(which has never taken more than 3 hours for any other stylist I’ve ever worked with to finish), the highlights are chunks, uneven, BLEACHED blonde, and absolutely worst of all, THEYDON’T GOTOTHEROOT! That’s right, they charged me $ 220 for highlights that look like they were put in two weeks ago. Daisy was so nice, I felt so terrible for even attempting to complain, but the more examination I’ve done to my hair, the worse and worse I discover it it. I can’t even put it up in a ponytail anymore because the highlights on the sides are so far away from the roots. I will say that my haircut was beautiful and that the other stylists seemed completely competent, but I can’t raise the star rating, because the owner should NOT have charged me such an exorbitant amount for such a sub-par coloring job, especially when it took such an extremely long time to complete. They also charge you more money for each extra pot of color they use, but they don’t cut or trim your hair until AFTER they’ve dyed it, so you’re paying for extra color that might not have been necessary if the cut had been done first. All in all, I’m going to have to go to a New York salon and pay even more money to have them fix the horrible roots that I’m left with only three days after my appointment. AVOIDATALLCOSTS!
