Great place to grab a beer and watch a game, but not to eat. They claim to have really great burgers, but mine was mundane and so too complained the guy sitting next to me at the bar. Waffle fries were warm, not hot. The only saving grace was that the beer was cold and the glass refilled quickly. All in all OK, but nothing to write home about.

Liked the bar ambiance but food tasteless. Service fast and friendly. Liked all the tv’s Just didn’t think the food had any flavor.

It’s usually amazing, but tonight I ordered a salad to go and to say that the salad was minuscule would be a compliment. Quite disappointed.

Thank you for opening sat during the floods. Special thanks to the staff who were not working but helped out before even taking off their coats!

Ok. Does a restaurant need to go so cheap that they have to put Velveeta or cheese whiz on their nachos? Garlic ginger wings were good. Service was horrible. Talked to the bartender about the no good attitude from our waitress and I got a deer in the headlight look. Don’t waste your time or money in this place.

I would have loved to review the king street grill but the two hostesses left us standing at the hostess stand and took over 5 minutes to even greet us… It wasn’t that busy and they were up at the hostess stand… There are entirely too many restaurants on King Street to be treated this way. Not to worry we got great hospitality a few doors down!

Great place for a ball game because of all the televisions. The only problem is that you might get stuck tilting your head straight up because of how narrow the bar is. Great burgers, sandwiches, and beers. I’ve never had an issue with service. It gets PACKED on Sunday’s so get there early.

Good food. Great service. Burgers are solid and everything is very moderately priced.

I’m not going to lie. This place just sucks. The service is always nice, the food is lacking flavors BIGTIME. Since when should a customer have to ask the waiter for spices from the kitchen? Haha. I mean seriously. And im not talking about salt and pepper. So terrible. And way over priced for what you’re offering.

I’ve been to most King Street Grille locations, and I must say that the one on King lags behind the others. Been to this location about 10 times, and it’s been underwhelming more than overwhelming, with our last visit being the worst. The food is typical for all KSG’s, which is still above average. I still say their buffalo ranch wings with cheese fries is one of the best meals in Charleston. Service has always been below average for this location(and that’s giving consideration for the servers who have to walk the stairs). On our last visit, we were greeted with a broken air conditioner on a 99 degree June afternoon. I can understand A/C’s braking down, but at least 1) let us know before we sit down, 2) offer an apology or 3) offer a discount drink or app.

We came in last night and drinks were good bartenders were attentive and spot on with drinks, we closed the bar and decided– why not come back, so we did… Eating dinner tonight not even sort of disappointed! I had prime rib wrap, Terry had fish and chips! WOW I would be so happy if someone served this locally.

Service: Absolutely terrible. We flagged our waitress 5 times before ever finally placing a dinner order. Cleanliness: The kitchen looks absolutely disgusting. While walking to the bathroom, I was able to view the kitchen. It was so bad that I told the girl I was with that we should probably eat somewhere else, she wanted to stay. Misc: When a turkey sandwich was ordered, the waitress said they were out of turkey and chicken tinders, early on a Thursday night. If you want to watch a game, this place has several TV ’ S though. Just do not come here for decent food or for sub-par service, because you’ll receive neither.

Most places in the area were closed on Thanksgiving day and we were in need of lunch, so we wandered into this place. The place was pretty packed and they had at least a dozen TVs on to guarantee that every patron could find at least one game of interest, except for me because I hate watching sports in general. I chose the«create your own salad» option and opted for mixed greens blackened mahi mahi, mushrooms, cucumber, hearts of palm, roasted red peppers, tomato, with balsamic vinegar & oil for my dressing. My partner ordered a blackened chicken sandwich, and we also each ordered a beer. Our waitress was nice and the food was pretty good, although they forgot my mushrooms, the waitress brought me some after I mentioned it. If you like watching sports, this is a great place to go because they have a decent selection of beers and their food isn’t bad.

Good place to meet the guys, or group, for a game. Can’t say I would visit for any other reason. Good burger lots of TV’s. Friendly service. Convenient location for guests at renaissance hotel.

Meh. I was walking down King and desperately needed food after 10pm on a Saturday night. If you’re looking to watch 10 things at once — this is your place. It wasn’t really my place because I was getting sleepy, hungry and the lack of AC made it just right for rapidly advancing my tiredness. The food was alright — nothing spectacular, but the service was good.

Before we went to the airport to go home, I needed to find a sports bar to watch some of the NASCAR race. It started at 11AM and King Street Grille opened at 11AM. SWEEEET. We actually had to wait a minute before the place opened and we were the first ones in the place. They sat us right up in the front window and we had our very own private TV just for our table. I couldn’t have asked for more. And when I asked for the TV to be on the NASCAR race they turned it on there… once they made sure it wasn’t Lord of the Rings and was actually the race, that is. Ha! Being up there even allowed me to have my app playing on my phone so I could hear my driver’s scanner while watching the race. I give 4 stars for this alone. Food was bar food but I did really like the make your own salad option. You picked your greens, 5 items, a meat, and your dressing. It was a pretty damn good salad if I do say so myself and thanks for not scrimping on the bacon! Our waitress was nice and it was fun to sit in the window and watch people walk by. The rest of the joint has TVs everywhere and it started to get pretty busy as the time went on. Bathrooms in the back were serviceable but they were disturbingly close to the open door of the kitchen. Also that gnawed on chicken bone in the floor in the hallway kind of grossed me out. Ewww! But hey, maybe someone dropped it while bussing tables so no biggie. If you want to watch a game or a race or any other sporting event, this place is more than likely going to be able to accommodate you. Plus there’s food, beer, and liquor so what more do you need?

If you like bar food, you’ll like King Street Grille… mainly because the bar food here is pretty good. The market price for my crab cake sandwich was $ 12.99. Not bad(the pretzel bun was a plus). Portion sizes are decent. Service is kind of slow, and if you go for Monday night Bingo, it’s fun but LOUD. Overall, an okay place.

This is a good bar kind of place, so I’ll rate it based on that vs strictly a restaurant. There are a lot of TVs lining the place, so that’s good. It’s loud, so you won’t hear any of them. The food: I recommend the half portion. I had ½ portion chicken and it was one breast instead of 2 and smaller portion of mashed potatoes. I’m a fan of places that offer smaller plates for a smaller price on their menu. Happy hour wine was ok too. You obviously won’t get a pricey bottle from a place like this, so don’t expect anything fancy. I’ll rerun in the future.

Atmosphere was nice dimly lit which was perfect for Day Drinking. Staff was attentive and friendly. I got the Ravioli’s which were both delicious but expensive. It had a little but of a kick to it as well. My friend got the Mac and Cheese burger which looked amazing. Just FYI don’t bother asking for the meat to be cooked rate because they’ll only go as medium. Did I mention it’s a sports bar that’s great for day drinking. Yes please.
