Huddle House

As of February 2, 2016, this is the worst place for lunch or breakfast for the matter! Customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced from the entire wait staff. Myself, along with 3 of my coworkers stopped here for lunch. It took 15 mins before our waitress, Robin, decided to take our order after asking us if we were ready to order 10 mins before she came over. Once we placed our orders, we got our drinks with our food 45 mins later. They were not extremely busy, but Robin claimed she needed help. A lady, who could’ve been a customer or friend, saw another employee get ready to walk in and said to Robin «here comes your help.» Robin stated «oh I’m training her! She ain’t no real help.» A couple, and 3 more individual customers came and it also took them forever to get their drinks. The last guy that was waited on complained to (I’m assuming) the manager on duty and he was not concerned about the guy’s complaint. This Huddle House is not worth the service or the food, which was cold by the time we got ours. Two of us ordered breakfast and we got our food in 35 mins. The two that ordered lunch got their food in 45 mins. We will not eat here again and they have definitely lost business.

Okay, being a vegetarian at this place is next to impossible. Luckily, we caught a good waitress on a night where they weren’t that busy, and she and the cook came up with a baked potato and a salad for me. My husband loved his burger and fries. All in all, it’s not a great place to eat if you don’t eat things with faces. I happened to be at a different Huddle House a few weeks later and decided to repeat my order. it cost almost twice what I paid at the other one, and the salad didn’t have anything on it but iceberg lettuce and diced tomatoes. Sad. Sad. Sad. I don’t imagine that I will return to Huddle House, even if it’s the only option at the truck stop I happen to be at. I would rather fast than to pay good money for sloppy food.

Wtf! I wouldn’t feed this shit to my dogs. Terrible service and the worst food I have ever taken a bite of. I’d eat rat poison before I would eat that shit. Do yourself a favor and keep driving! Fast past this shit hole… Doesn’t deserve 1 star…

Went in to get some breakfast and no one was there. A lady came out and said the cool wasn’t there and she would go and find her. Came back a few minutes later and said she was at lunch so it would take a half an hour to get some food. 24 hours when the 2 people that were there aren’t on break or at lunch. Don’t bother with this one

Stopped in to get a quick bite. Was told, «it will be 20 minutes the cooks on break.» Being I don’t have 20 minutes to wait, I had to leave with out getting served. Won’t be back!

I like this place. Truck stop? Who cares?! Good homestyle favorites to eat! Country fried steak! Yum! Love the flying J’s with the grub! I’ll always hit these up!

Staff is very rude, had to flag waitress down for a refill, didn’t get a straw, table was sticky and had to move to another table. Flies everywhere, no good service at all.

This is a truck stop and it is not worth a damn! People here are not friendly, they act like it kills the to put a smile on there face. Restrooms are not clean they only have three stalls in it. Will not stop here again I will mark it off of do not stop here list.

We ended up in Charleston as a pit stop to Poplar Bluffs. Luckily we found the Huddle House at a truck stop and ended up having the best experience ever! Our server, Alexis, was so upbeat and quick to serve us that it made the experience great. The food was good, the coffee was watered down (skip it), but otherwise it was a clean and filling breakfast choice.
